For certain bikes no structural integrity
I run an Ibis ripmo with a race face next r crank. The chainguide tabs are on a 3 mm thick backplate adapter. For some reason the extra leverage from being 3mm out further was shearing the driveside bearing cup off the threaded part of the BB. Bearings are good but I totaled 3 of these so far so I don’t trust them enough for making it through a race

Just Don’t Buy Wheels MFG
I have to say I am so dissatisfied with the seller and Wheels Manufacturing. Order BSA 30 English Bottom Bracket and was sent two Drive Side or Right Side Cups. Now, the return label USPS generated by seller generates and error at the post office and now I have to wait for seller to generate a new return label. I am still especially dissatisfied with the quality control. Who in the hell lets a $139.00 bottom bracket go out with 2 Right Side Cups. I will never buy Wheels MFG ever again!
