    Evidently SRAM has had a tolerance issue with the plunger in their levers. This kit has everything you need, (excluding tools and fluid), to solve this issue and rebuild your levers. This made a huge difference in braking performance!

    If you’ve got problems with your SRAM Guide brakes acting up- this kit is for you. All the pieces necessary to rebuild the lever and fits like champ. I just hope SRAM has fixed their issue so I won’t have to do this again.

    Gen 2 is Worst Than Gen 1

    All that I needed was the nylon piston, but SRAM sells as a $35 package of parts that are not necessary. The Gen 2 nylon piston appeared to be manufactured from a solid piece of nylon, as opposed to the Gen 1 which is a press-fit of concentric cylinders. Today, three weeks after installation, the front wheel started to drag. The Gen 1 failed after a year and a half, but this new Gen 2 went out in three weeks! This SRAM part failure will leave you stranded, 15 miles into the Arizona desert, walking on your cycling shoes, dragging a bike with a stuck brake.
