    Best way to park / service my bike

    I was searching for a product that would let me safely park my carbon mountain bike and also do maintenance before riding it. Since I did not have much space available, the foot stand (which is ideal since height can be adjusted) had to be replaced for this wall mount unit.Installation was quick. The product itself is rock solid.The seat post grabber is very easy to use. Mounting and unmounting is done in a sec.Once mounted it is possible to rotate the bike in order to better reach the components you wish to service, height can also be minor adjusted through the seat post.Bottom line, excellent product, easy installation and it helps to park and service your loved bike in a professional way.

    Expensive, and I like it. But did I mention it’s expensive?

    Compared to a free-standing bike stand this seems pretty expensive being that it simply bolts to the wall. The clamp is made of heavy duty material and far exceeds anything you’ll ever need for even the heaviest bike. I do like the fact that the wall-bracket features a quick-release so you can remove the Clamp and not have it sticking out of the wall all the time.

    Nicht preiswert, aber den Preis wert!

    Nachdem mein erster Reparaturständer, der nur für Fahrräder mit den früher üblichen relativ dünnen runden Rahmenrohren geeignet war, bei den triovalen oder dicken runden Rohren nicht mehr verwendet werden konnte, habe ich die üblichen Verdächtigen im Kollegenkreis befragt und diverse Produktvideos etc. angeschaut. Fazit für mich: Mindestens 90% aller Reparaturständer auf dem Markt sind mir zu instabil. So bald das angehängte Fahrrad im Video losgelassen wird, sackt es durch Elastizität des Ständers einige cm nach unten. Wie soll man bei dem Geschaukel Schrauben vernünftig lösen oder anziehen? Der Rest der Ständer ist stabil, aber dann meist nicht – oder nicht viel – höhenverstellbar.Also habe ich mich für den Selbstbau entschlossen. Auf die Konstruktion will ich hier nicht näher eingehen, die ist nur herstellbar, wenn man wie ich auf eine komplette Werkstatt incl. einer kleinen Fräsmaschine Zugriff hat. Nur so viel, sie ähnelt dem Hubmast eines Gabelstaplers, gebaut aus Aluprofilen, und ganz nach oben gefahren ist die Halteklaue in Augenhöhe. Also so, dass man ohne krummen Rücken arbeiten kann.Fertig kaufen wollte ich nur eine Halteklaue. Da steht der Aufwand für Eigenfertigung dann doch in keinem Verhältnis mehr und es gab ja etwas, was im Prospekt sehr vielversprechend ausgesehen hat. Im Prospekt von Park Tool. Und der Eindruck blieb nach dem Auspacken erhalten! Diese Klaue 100-3D ist extrem stabil, hat eine weite Öffnung und die Auskragung dieser Ausführung PRS-4W-2 ist so groß, dass auch bei Wandmontage zwischen Pedalspitze und Wand genügend Abstand vorhanden ist und die Pedale, ohne wo anzustoßen, gedreht werden können. Die Prismengummis haben beide eine vertiefte Nut, durch die am Rahmenrohr verlegte Züge durchlaufen können und so nicht mitgeklemmt werden, so dass Bremse und Schaltung auch am fixierten Fahrrad funktionsfähig bleiben. Die Klemmung ist so gut, dass ich ein am Oberrohr eingespanntes Trekkingrad (die sind ja nicht gerade leicht) locker durch Drehen der Klaue in ihrer Befestigung um 90° senkrecht stellen und wieder festklemmen konnte (Scheinwerfer Richtung Boden, Rücklicht zur Decke), ohne dass dabei irgendwas verrutscht ist.Alles ist präzise gefertigt, sehr gute Oberflächenbeschichtung (wahrscheinlich pulverbeschichtet, nicht nur lackiert) und richtig massiv. Kurzum eine Freude, die beim Auspacken beginnt und bei der Benützung anhält. Dafür gebe ich dann gern Geld aus. Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung, wenn’s “ein bisschen mehr” sein darf.

    Sturdy and high quality.

    This is a great wall mount.It’s very sturdy and stable. It was well worth the price to purchase a quality mount, rather than something cheaper and less stable.I mounted mine in the garage on a large 4″ square post with two large bolts. The jaws are large enough to fit large diameter aluminum tubing on mountain bikes. I usually mount all my bikes by the seat post to avoid accidentally cracking delicate frames (carbon fiber). The mount comes in two pieces so that you are able to store the jaws somewhere out of the way. All parts are high quality. The only plastic parts are the inside of the jaws and a small cover on the jaws. The plastic is only in place to prevent scratches on your bike. Everything else is steel.Great stand. I highly recommend it for anyone that wants a sturdy wall mounted stand. I’ve had my stand for a few weeks and have used it weekly to work on my family’s and friends’ bikes.

    Solid and Reliable Bike Stand

    This wall-mounted repair stand is awesome. It’s really sturdy, easy to install, and the clamp holds my bike securely while I work on it. The 360° rotation makes it super convenient, and it saves a lot of space in my garage. Definitely recommend it if you need a good, reliable stand.

    As expected, large and heavy, but does the job really well. Quite tight when clamp is fitted to the bike and trying to fit clamp into base bracket, needs a bit of practice!

    Nothing but pretty good to excellent reviews and I see why.Very easy to install into my garage wall stud. I hit it on the mark exactly – – use a stud finder – – and it is in there like it was put in concrete!What a maintenance saver. Very simple to work/run. I can now do maintenance that has been neglected because of my 80 lb. E-bike. Now it can be raised, by myself too. Movement restrictions keep me from using a floor model because I cannot lift the entire bike by myself 40+ inches off the floor. Perfect for folks with similar issues and needs!I so highly recommend this Park Tool PRS-4W Worth every dollar too.

    Its a great tool. Well built. Made my life easier and fix bikes like a human. Sturdy, works great and saw the same one in a repair shop. You just need to buy hardware, which really you need to do as they dont know how or where you are mounting. But if you can afford the tool and bikes tonfix, you should be able to afford hardware
