Bench mount beauty
I needed something that could hold heavy bikes while also being small enough to fit in my toolbox in the off season. This fit the bill perfectly and with a few nutserts it pops on and off my workbench whenever I need it to. The clamp is stout and will hold everything I have including my 60lb e-bike with no trouble at all.Is it expensive? Yes. Is it extremely high quality and will last a lifetime? Also yes.

Solid and secure mounting. I mounted it to a steel base plate that I hold in a large bench vise. I use it for maintenance. Bicycles are hard to work on without a way to securely hold them. It’s nice to adjust the angle of the bicycle

Sturdy Mount – as you would expect from Park
Picked this up as I don’t have enough room in the shop for a normal bike stand. Instead of bolting it directly to the bench top, I fashioned a portable mount that uses two small clamps to secure it to the workbench. Mount is fashioned out of two pieces of spare MDF I had lying around. Bottom MDF has two lanes of t-track, which the top piece slides back and forth on. System is very handy as the PCS-12.2 can be slid back when not in use, so it doesn’t extend into the shop, and it’s easy to get it back to the working position by just loosening the four star nuts.

This stand has a sturdy clamp with enough degrees of freedom to position a bicycle in any position.
The stand is sturdy enough to readily support my partner’s e-bike. There is plenty of maneuverability to position a bicycle into any position. Mounting of the stand works well on a bench top, or as I found, sufficiently versatile to mount on a lally column with my own column attachment. The clamping mechanism is particularly easy to use. This is my first purchase of a Park Tool product and I am very impressed with the design, construction and finish work. I later found out that my local bicycle shop uses and sells a variety of Park Tool products.

Very easy to use and set up but where are the screws?
The product is extremely sturdy and stable and very easy to assemble but is missing the mounting screws. You want quarter inch lag bolts and in my case I needed some thing 2 1/4 inches long that would go through my 2 inch workbench and I could fasten on the other side with a washer and a screw. I haven’t had a chance to check and see if it can actually hold the larger profile down to on my electric bike but it can handle the 65 pounds of weight no problem. I think it took me about five minutes to put it all together and begin testing.

Solid Steel
You get what you pay for. Reviews of other bicycle repair stands seemed to harp on issues of durability and especially plastic parts. I have a heavy E-bike and didn’t want to buy a tool twice. My (mountain biking) daughter recognized the Park Tool logo on the delivered packaging and got excited-with reason. The expectation of a really solid piece of equipment has been met. To be sure there is plastic in the jaw clamp, only to cushion the hold on the bike frame, and handles, and even the rotation locking piece, but that gets compressed into place like an oversized cone-shaped washer, and shouldn’t face any stress that would break it, even holding up a 48# bike. The steel parts are industrial quality-absolutely no play or bend. Frankly, I was more worried about my workbench than the repair stand. Very EZ/intuitive to set up-really no instructions necessary. It does need to be mounted where the pedals get free play underneath.
