Good bike repair stand
Everything works great except the horizontal arm could extend out a little further as the positioning on some of the bikes I work on causes the peddles to hit my bench counter. Overall a great buy!

i had a old off bran floor bike mount and it was a piece of junk, so i bought the Park tool bench mount; cut off the old mound welded a piece of flat steel to the old stand and bolted this bench mount to it and has been super…. really like it easily adjusts to my mountain bike , road bike and the misses hybrid bike

Seat post clamping only if top tube cable routing
Stout tool through I was initially surprised that the vertical tube that connect the clamp to the base was made out of a high density plastic. Seems like a high stress point that should use metal. That said, Park knows what they are doing, so plastic failure is likely not going to happen and plastic allows for smoother rotation along the pan axis. The issue I have is the the jaws do not clamp in a parallel manner; they clamp at an angle. This means that the cable relief in the jaws “moves” depending on how fat your top tube is. In my case, it was never going to work on my MTB as I have three cables running along the top of my top tube. This clamp works best if your have internal cable routing or do not have top tube cable routing. If you have top tube routing, then you are forced to clamp to the seat post. The problem is that clamping to the seat post puts a lot of pressure on the seat post if you want to work on your bike in a perfectly horizontal position.

Once in a lifetime purchase – this is the only bench mounted work stand that you’ll ever need. I like how the part of the stand that sticks out into the work area can be easily removed when not needed so that you don’t run into it – only the upright that’s mounted to the bench has to stay in place. A perfect repair stand.

I bought a used condition model. And it came from a bike shop somewhere. (Sorry I didn’t review sooner). Came as expected, I understand why a bike shop may be less enticed with this model compared to some of the other parktool stands.But for a lowly hobbyist like myself, this is perfect. I love that I can make a wooden block and mount it in my vice. 10/10, would buy again.

Quality Control?
Clamp arrived with buggered up threads. Had to chase with a tap and die for the rotation of the clamp. Also the mounting holes in the base were so uneven I ended up cutting off the base and fabricated a new one. For $300 I’d expect better. After my repairs it works great.

Pro bike shop level
This is the same pipe clamp used in professional bike shops. Wanted something strong and sturdy, mounted this to a 2 inch pipe that is bolted to a 12 x 12 3/8 thick plate on the ground. Rocksolid! It would be equally as strong if it were bolted to a bench but I made my height adjustable. The difference between the bike shop and Mt. and Ms. mount is the plastic/composite receptacle for the clamp. Very heavy duty and should hold up fine.
