Effective secure mounting system
Worked great. I put it on the top of my climbing/ski helmet in combination with the 550 lumina light. It was secure while skiing and the combo produced a lot of light when we got caught in the dark. It seemed to stay well attached despite cold single digit temperatures. I liked that the mount has both tilt and rotation abilities which also takes some pressure off of a perfect mount job. The rotation and tilt features do add some unnecessary bulk to the mount which could be a little more streamlined.

Real niterider product.
This the real thing not a cheap knock off. Always use niterider products for mtb so I bought this for my moto helmet. High-quality very sticky and highly recommend.

Great mount but no reason why it should cost this much, not a good value
It’s basically a regular mount with a 3M sticker instead of the strap & clamp. It works better than the strap mount because it won’t tend to flop around if you couldn’t tight it down as much as your descending. You can stick it father back on top of the helmet so it will make it less front heavy than the strap mount. But considering it uses less material and is easier to manufacture than the strap mount, this should be a lot cheaper instead of 35% more expensive. It’s not a good value.

Exactly what I needed to add my NiteRider light to my snowboarding helmet so I could use it as a winter fat biking helmet!. The light mount fits NiteRider lights exactly. The double-face tape is 3M Scotch 5952 VHB Tape (product link here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BU7038A), which according to one reviewer, “Make sure that you know exactly where you are going to place this tape because once it’s down, it’s down. They glue window glass into window frames on skyscrapers with this stuff. ” And boy does this tape stick!!! Once I lined up where I wanted to place the light mount, there is NO moving this sucker! I’ve ridden in -14F without issue. I suspect that my helmet will give out before this light mount 🙂
