arrived missing one of the three central pins. OW great gearing for MTB.
Arrived missing one of the three central pins that holds cassette together! Lockring keeps them on and together once on the cassette (actually fine once on carrier w. lockring on without ANY pins), but I am returning for a replacement as I am concerned this got past their QC. Fabulous value and smart gearing steps for MTB. 1-2 tooth steps are good for crazy close, fast, road pacelines, but are horrible when you are riding MTB trails! I know people wish for a 11-50/51 as that 50/51 is the “trending” silliness of the moment, but I can climb almost anything with a 32×42!

Seems well made and shifts well – FWIW, an M3000 (which only goes to 36 according to Shimano) works fine with this (no goat link req’d in 1x with a 32T front chain ring) even though I went with an advent derailleur.

Great Way to Expand Gear Range
I replaced an 11-32 9-speed cassette with this Microshift 11-42. This is on a recumbent trike with 20″ wheels. This lowered my low gear from approximately 21 gear inches to 16 gear inches. The new low is very welcome, particularly on a trike and on very steep grades. The cassette change required the addition of a hanger extension for the rear derailleur and an adjustment to the chain length. The 11-42 shifts well; I am very pleased with its performance. Its 350g weight is very reasonable for such a large cassette.

This has worked flawlessly since I’ve installed it on a Shimano spec Fatbike. It handles shifts as well or better than the original cassette and I have a much wider range now.

I bought this and have converted 3 of my mountain bikes to 1×9 with it. I also ordered the advent shifter and derailleur. It fit nicely, looks great, shifts well and was easy to install. Good quality bike parts.

42 works with SRAM X7!!
It works flawless with my SRAM X7 1×9 stuff, with 22 oval up front. Its even a short cage! But the 46 will need a med cage. Installed with an extension hanger, tipped forward a bit works best. Check the pic. It shifts perfect that way and makes the chain hug tight. Just went on a real rough single track woods ride: roots, rocks, downhills, climbs, and never dropped the chain!! I tried 3 cassettes, Sunrace 40 and a genetic 42, both supposed compatible with SRAM, but this one shifted wayyyyyy better. Black looks good too. And had the perfect gearing range on my fav trail. Excellent upgrade.

Not that shifty
I cancelled an order for a similar cassette from another manufacturer due to a longer than expected shipping time.This is going on an e-bike, not yet installed so only really going on build/appearance thus far. Glad I chose this one over the other. Appreciate the sustainable packaging also, no plastic – just cardboard and paper lunch bags like I used to get when I was a kid. One extra star for giving me nostalgia…🥹
