1500 LUMENS WITH ANTI-GLARE LENS: High-power Luminus SST-40 LED delivers up to 1500 lumens and a 199m beam distance. The PC optical lens creates a defined cutoff line that puts light on the road instead of into the eyes of oncoming riders, drivers and pedestrians. Five modes: 300 / 750 / 1500 lumens steady, plus night flash and daytime flash. Runtimes measured to ANSI/NEMA FL1 standard.
16-HOUR RUNTIME AND DOUBLES AS A POWER BANK: A 5000mAh battery runs up to 16 hours on low. The Type-C port charges and discharges, so an 18W fast charger refills the light in about 1.5 hours, and the same port can top up your bike computer, phone or action camera mid-ride.
IPX7 WATERPROOF ALUMINUM BODY, 2-YEAR WARRANTY: The one-piece aluminum housing dissipates heat for stable output and carries an IPX7 waterproof rating for heavy rain and muddy trails. Tested to 1m drop. Certified to FL1 STANDARD, RoHS and UN38.3, and backed by a 2-year warranty with Magicshine customer support.
REMOTE INCLUDED IN THE BOX: The MJ-6558 wireless remote and strap come with the light at no extra cost, so you can switch modes, adjust brightness and trigger one-click full beam without taking your hand off the bar. Add a Magicshine SEEMEE 150MAG or SEEMEE 50 V2.0 tail light (sold separately) and FTR Multi-Light Control links front and rear as one unit. This is a front light only; no tail light is included.
MODE MEMORY AND LOCKOUT: Mode memory reopens on your last setting, the lockout function prevents the light switching on in a bag, and a low-battery lock drops it to steady low below 10% so you are not left in the dark.
GOPRO STYLE UNDER-MOUNT KEEPS YOUR COCKPIT CLEAR: A reinforced metal GoPro quick-release plus a lightweight out-front extension bracket mounts the light beneath your bar, leaving the top of your cockpit free for a bike computer. Press the release button and the light is on or off in seconds. Includes 28mm, 32mm and 35mm shims to fit most handlebars.
Comprehensive Package Contents: Includes ALLTY 1200U, handlebar out-front mount, MJ-6558 remote control with strap, nylon shims in three sizes (28mm/32mm/35mm), Wahoo mount, screws, hex keys, USB-C charging cable, and user manual with 2 year warranty coverage

Great light for night time city rides and occasional gravel path
This is a very good, bright cycling light. The reflector is well designed with a shaped beam, cutting off the light that normally would be blinding to drivers and other cyclists. It offers great illumination of the road ahead with a bright far reaching hotspot and fairly wide, floody spill. For 1500 lumens this is a very compact unit. Encased in a well machined anodized aluminum shell is a long lasting 4200mAh battery. With the IPX7 rating, this light is ready for any weather conditions.Out of the box there are 3 brightness steady modes (300, 750 and 1500 lumen) and 2 flashing ones (nighttime – low-high flash and daytime – slow max brightness flash). The manufacturer lists the runtime on the highest mode as 3 hours, just over 5 hours on medium and up to 16 hours on low. These are good values for how bright this light is, but take into consideration that when used on the brightest setting the light will gradually reduce it’s output to protect from overheating and to probably preserve the battery. In my unscientific testing, the output starts dropping from 1500 lumen after a couple of minutes stopping at around 1000 lumen at around 15 minutes of runtime. Cycling throught the modes will restore the maximum brightness. This stepdown behaviour is typical for most high powered flashlights and bike lights. The RN1500S model is designed to be installed underneath an out front bike computer mount. The package comes with a sturdy, polycarbonate mount, compatible with most bike computers (my Garmin fits without any adjustments). On the bottom of the double sided mount has a standard GoPro attachment that accepts the quick release adapter the light comes with.If you need to mount the light directly on top of the handlebars, then you’ll need to get the RN1500 version, the “S” is only suitable for underneath mount.A very neat feature of this light is that its output can be customized via the Magicshine app! You can modify the lumen values for the existing modes and even create additional ones – You might decide that 1500 lumen is too much but 750 not bright enough – in a couple of minutes you can add a 1100 lumen mode. If the 300 LM low is still too bright you can go all the way down to 150 LM. Very cool feature! The RN1500S has another addon in the package – it comes with a small remote control. When paired with the light the remote can switch modes and control brightness. In addition if you have one of Magicshine’s tail lights, that one can also be connected to the remote and then it will control both units – when you click the remote to turn on the light – both front and the tail light will shine. The last small but very useful feature is that the light can work as a mini power bank – perfect for re-charging a bike computer, or giving an emergency boost to a phone.Overall, this is a great light. Easy 5 stars, but I have a pet peeve – I want a user replaceable battery. I have other bike lights, fully waterproof, with replaceable batteries, so it’s entirely possible to have that option. I also have a couple of older lights that no longer hold charge and are ready for recycling. It’s not necessarily a big concern and I’d still expect that with normal use the battery should stay in a good condition for 4-5 years.

Great light, super bright, attached with a Garmin mount and a quick charge.
Great light, super bright with light on and flash at same time. Really pleased with the purchase price too. Worth the money. Charged super quickly.

Solid well built bike light
A very solid built light. Lights up the road very well, much better than my previous light. The slide in and out mechanism for the light makes removing the light for charging easy. Very happy with the light!

Great light and feels more expensive than what I paid for, by far

Decent light for the price
This bike light is good for the price but the battery doesnt last very long (maybe 4 hours) the controls for 3 brghtness modes work good but is a pain to switch to flashing. The quick release option works great, the stock mounts need to fit tighter to the bars. It likes to fall down when riding.. nothing a little electrical tape cant fix. But like i said.. good for the money.

Good performance. Annoying delivery and mounting experience.
Overall, the light is great. Plenty bright. Intuitive enough. I was kind of annoyed because I bought this particular light because it was on sale for $71, and I thought it would attach quickly and directly to my Garmin Edge 540 out front mount. Unfortunately, I had to remove the Garmin mount (which mounts on the left side of the stem) and use the provided Magicshine mount (which mounts on the right side of the stem). The Garmin mount didn’t interfere with cables, the Magicshine kind of does. It’s not that big of a deal, but kind of annoying. I bought the SeeMee 300 taillight because it was also on sale at the time. I assumed incorrectly that it syncs with the power button that comes with the RN 1500. I’m probably the problem because I didn’t read through all the literature and reviews beforehand.I had to order the light twice. The first one arrived used. The box was open, the light had a significant scratch on the housing, and the parts were stuffed into the box. I returned it. The second one arrived, packaging had been opened as if someone had purchased it before. The light itself looked new and unused, so I kept it. Has this model of light been purchased and returned by a bunch of people? Perhaps this is why it was on sale?Overall, it’s mounted on my bike, works well, has a strong battery thus far, and turns on and off with the button mounted to my handlebars.

Outstanding product backed by outstanding support
Great light backed by exceptional customer support. I was experiencing some slight road buzz coming from the below-the-bar light mounting bracket. There was a tiny bit of play that was causing the buzz. I reached out to Magicshine customer support and was immediately contacted by Hannah. Over the next 3-4 weeks Hannah stayed engaged with me and went above and beyond helping me troubleshoot the issue, and without hesitation or challenge she shipped me a new mount with new hardware to swap out with my light. Problem-solved. Hannah demonstrated a level of customer support and empathy that is more and more a distant memory in the age of AI chatbots handling these issues. Magicshine continues to shine with their quality products backed by quality people.

I don’t need an app from China to turn a light on and off.Creating account is non-optional. They’ll be sending all your information to China.

Absolutely wonderful bike light!!
Three months later, I can’t say enough good things about this Magicshine bike light! I’d call it more of a bike light system than light in itself with the included remote control. When synched with an additional Magicshine tail light, the remote control activates the front and rear lights with a single press of a button and it’s so easy!! Ultimate convenience at high speed. Let me break down what else makes this combination so stellar..I do 100 mile bike rides weekly and sometimes these run into the night. The remote control function to operate all lights at once allows you to extend battery life of all pieces unilaterally. This will come in so handy on the Seattle to Portland bike ride this year! This bike light looks amazing, is high quality and produces a great beam to get you home safe. The bike light doubles as a fast charging power bank which gives me peace of mind when my phone runs low. I’ve already used this feature to charge my friend’s phone. It’s been absolutely perfect for night riding! This light is a good weight for how useful it is and how long it lasts. I love the undermount set up for less glare when leaning over the handlebars and the light’s always pointing where I need it most. I did have to add an extra shim during the rain when it loosened a little and it’s been fantastic ever since.I cannot say enough good things about this light! It’s my favorite in my 30 years of riding. Magicshine is an outstanding company with remarkably strong customer service and support.I highly recommend this light. This set up is amazing!

Amazing ligh
Love this bike light. Easy to install, fits perfectly on my bike, and it’s unbelievably bright. I love the quick release button, and the remote control too. Best light I’ve ever had, and I had quite a few over the years! Highly recommend 👌

An upgrade on the previous version of the 1500 bike light.
An improvement on the previous 1500 bike lightI’ve used the MagicShine 1500 for many miles, and was impressed with the excellent build quality and feature set. You can read my review on Amazon. And I’ll tack it at the bottom of this review. The 1500S continues the design of the 1500, and packs a powerful light in a slim, lightweight package. The two look almost identical, but the 1500S takes the 1500 to the next level. The 1500S comes with a remote control which allows you to turn the light on and off and change modes. It mounts on your bars and is very handy and much easier to use than the light-mounted button when riding. The buttons are large and work with gloves.Another benefit to the 1500S is that the rechargeable battery is user-replaceable. That means you can carry an extra battery to extend drive time, and, more importantly, it keeps the light out of a landfill when the battery ages and wears out. MagicShine sells spare batteries for around $60 60CAD. The only downside to the rechargeable battery is that the 1500S has an IPX5 waterproof rating, whereas the original 1500 has an IPX7 rating. I’m a fair-weather cyclist, so that’s not a deal breaker for me.A dual-purpose mount is included and features the standard Garmin quarter-turn mount for your computer, with the light mounting below on a solid metal rail. The light can be removed for charging with a click of a button. The light is bright and can be used for nighttime riding or as a flashing daytime running light. There are windows on the side of the light to provide more safety lights for visibility. There’s an app to control lights and monitor battery health. The lights paired instantly on my iPhone 16 Pro. The included remote paired quickly with the light as well, though it did take me a few tries. For you weight weenies out there, the 1500S weighs in at 168g. That’s about what the three Snickers bars you have stuffed in your jersey weigh. And, continuing on our Snickers theme, the 1500s is the same size as a Snickers. :-)If you want to deep dive into the 1500s, check out the review below. Except for the differences I’ve noted, the 1500S is similar to the 1500.In conclusion, the 1500S is an excellent value in a bike headlight. It is ideal for night riding and does double duty as a strobe daytime running light. The app to control the lights works well and is stable.MAGICSHINE 1500 REVIEWMAGICSHINE is well known in mountain biking circles, with high-end lights in the thousand-dollar-plus range. That’s well out of my snack bracket, so I was pleased to see MAGICSHINE releasing a range of more affordable cycle lighting solutions. The 1500 is about the size of every cyclist’s favourite road fuel, a Snickers bar.The RN 1500S has the MAGICSHINE quality at a price point anyone can afford. This light has a 1500-lumen output and a 5000mAh battery to give it a long runtime. In my tests, the light ran for 14 hours before I stopped the test, as I did not want to drain the battery to 100%The case is metal, which, in addition to protecting the light, makes an excellent heat sink to keep the light running cool. Heat is the enemy of electronics. The light can be controlled by a button on the top, or via a cellphone app or remote control (sold separately). The app connected instantly via Bluetooth. I’ve not tested the remote control, but will update this review when I do. The light will remember the last setting you used. One great feature of the MAGICSHINE is that the beam is angled downward to put the light where you need it and to reduce glare for oncoming vehicles. This is ideal for commuting or road riding where glaring cycle lights blind and irritate drivers. The 1500 comes with a range of accessories for mounting and has an industry-standard quarter-turn mount. An Allen wrench is provided to save you a trip to your toolbox.I don’t cycle at night and use the MAGICSHINE as a flashing forward firing safety light. It is highly visible and alerts oncoming traffic to your presence to help avoid t hits or cyclist side/car front collisions. (Over twenty percent of vehicle bike collisions are T hits or cyclist side/car front episodes.)The light has side panels that offer around 300 degrees of visibility. This all-metal light with a large battery is not light, and the MAGICSHINE tips the scales at 165 grams (That’s around the weight of three Snickers bars.). I’m not a weight weenie, so I will trade a few extra grams for the high measure of safety the MAGICSHINE provides. In conclusion, this is a well-made light and mirrors the quality of MAGICSHINE’s high-end bike lights. Unlike so much overpriced cycling gear on the market, the MAGICSHINE offers substantial value at an affordable price.
