Good Compact Camera with Useful Features

I’ve been enjoying this body camera for everyday recording and outdoor use. It’s compact and lightweight, so it’s easy to clip onto clothing without feeling too bulky. The 180° rotating lens is especially useful for adjusting the viewing angle without having to reposition the entire camera. The 1.5″ screen makes it convenient to quickly check recordings and adjust the framing. The 4K video quality is good for a camera of this size, and the night vision is a nice feature for recording in lower-light situations. The Wi-Fi connectivity is also convenient when transferring footage to a phone. My main complaint is that the small screen and buttons take a little getting used to, and the battery life can feel limited when recording for longer periods, especially with the higher-resolution settings and Wi-Fi enabled.Overall, this is a versatile little body camera with a good set of features for the price. I’m giving it 4 stars because I think the battery life and controls could be improved, but it’s still a useful option for pets, walks, outdoor activities, and everyday recording.

    Surprisingly adequate

This is a surprisingly competent little body camera for around $60–70, which is right in that Amazon electronics zone where you’re never entirely sure whether you’ve bought a useful tool or a future resident of the junk drawer. The camera itself is the good part. Build quality is much better than I expected for the price. It feels solid, the rotating lens is genuinely useful, the buttons and body don’t feel flimsy, and clipped to a vest it feels like an actual piece of equipment rather than a plastic novelty pretending to be one.I used it in an industrial setting, strapped to my hi-vis vest while recording introductory material for new employees. For that job, it worked great. The footage was clear enough to drop into a SCORM training module without creating some obscene 10GB file that makes the LMS start reconsidering its life choices. That’s really where this camera makes sense to me. The video quality is decent, practical, and perfectly usable for training, walkthroughs, inspections, basic documentation, and similar work. I don’t need cinematic depth of field while explaining where a pump room is. I need usable footage that doesn’t require a server farm to store.Low-light performance is where things get ugly. In decent lighting, it’s fine. In poor lighting, the image quality falls off fast. “Night vision” may technically exist, but this is not the camera I’d choose for dim industrial spaces unless you’re comfortable with footage that starts looking like evidence recovered from a haunted warehouse. The charger is also noticeably cheaper than the camera itself. The battery connection and removal system is weird, awkward, and feels like the first part of the whole setup that will eventually fail. Every time I remove the battery, it feels like I’m making a small but irreversible withdrawal from its lifetime supply of structural integrity. That said, the main camera body feels much better built than the charging hardware around it, which is a strange but fairly common hierarchy in budget electronics. For the money, I think it’s a good little camera. Solid build, decent daytime video, useful rotating lens, works well clipped to a hi-vis vest, and produces footage that’s more than good enough for practical training material.Give it decent lighting, don’t abuse the battery mechanism, and it does exactly what I needed it to do without turning a basic orientation video into a feature-length production.

    Great starter camera!

This is a good quality starter camera for anyone interested in recording outdoor activities. I appreciate that it has multiple modes- still, record and voice. I also appreciate the day/night vision options. The buttons are easy to use and the menu is relatively easy to navigate. The battery life is decent and the charging time isn’t too bad. The video quality is good for a starter camera, and you can choose from three different video quality settings. I wish that the thumbnails showed a picture of each video, so you don’t have to search to find the video that you want. However, that will probably be easier once uploaded. The screen is small and a bit difficult to view the videos efficiently, but again, once uploaded that would not matter. This is a good value if you’re looking for a startup camera.

    Impressive little camera

It doesn’t come with nearly the mountain of accessories that some of the other little cameras I’ve had, but honestly, this is still one impressive little camera. It’s compact, but manages to pack a surprising amount of technology into that little body.It records in 4K, has a 180° rotating lens, infrared night vision, and a 1.5″ color screen for checking your footage right on the camera. It also has Wi-Fi for viewing and downloading videos to your phone, a magnetic mount with a 360° clip for hands-free recording, and loop recording. It comes with a 128GB memory card and supports cards up to 256GB. The two included batteries are rated for up to 8 hours of recording, which is pretty impressive for something this small. We have certainly come a very long way with digital cameras over the last 25 years or so! I remember when getting decent digital photos felt like a major technological achievement, and now apparently we can stick a tiny camera almost anywhere and record in 4K. 😂 Technology is wild.

Nice camera. Great value. Happy to have it

So far FIVE STAR! I have been super impressed with this camera for a bunch of reasons. First off, I’m not great at wanting to read complicated instructions. This is very intuitive and easy to use. Secondly, it came with a 128MB SXSD card installed. That makes the low price of this camera an even better value for the money. I have other action cameras that are capable of selfie view and forward view but none so easy to manipulate as this one; just a quick flip of the camera head and you are in business either direction. The night vision with the built in IR lights is really impressive. I don’t often use the wifi connectivity on cameras like this because of the way that I use them but having that feature is great. This comes with 2 batteries and the charger too or you can charge the camera by plugging USB C directly into it. The active zoom feature so you can zoom while recording is very nice too. Some of my action cams have a zoom but it is usually a something you need to set before your start recording so you are locked in once you start. The body clip that comes with this seems very sturdy and it also has a 1/4″-20 universal threaded hub built into it for tripod or other standard mounting options. I’ve just noodled around with this so far and am excited to use it to record an event.

    Battery Charger Doesn’t Work

This is an honest unbiased review. Horrible product might change my mind if I can actually use it.I was looking for a body cam to film as I check bee hives but did not need anything like a v-logger would have. Couldn’t get the battery charger to work unless my hand was close to it. Just a useless piece of equipment now. You get what you pay for.

Thoroughly impressed with my first body camera!

This is my very first body camera, and I am thoroughly impressed so far. It packed in some great features while keeping the controls simple and intuitive to use. I was especially excited to find that it even does night vision recording! When it comes to performance, it captures crisp, clear pictures, and the videos are exceptionally high quality. The kit comes with two batteries so you can keep recording while the other battery is charging. Its compact size is great as from the pictures I thought it was going to be a little larger.Considering what you get at this price point, if this is an entry-level body cam, I will probably be getting a smaller version down the road! We have an upcoming vacation planned to some theme parks, and I honestly can’t wait to wear this while riding the roller coasters. The included accessories are a huge plus and the large magnet on the back makes it easy to use at the gym! Highly recommended!

Light and functional, easy to use, good battery life

This unit is small, light and easy to clip to yourself for traditional security type bodycam use. You can also mount it to your car fairly easily if you want to use it as a dashcam. Night vision performance is good with the built-in illuminator. Battery life is excellent with the two batteries provided, though of course it’s a proprietary shape and you’ll never find a replacement in the future.Unusually, the magnetic patch on the back is an actual magnet, not just a steel plate that will hold a magnet. So you can stick it to (say) the pole of a fence or basketball hoop, or to the side of your car, or a steel shed, etc. Very handy. Many of these devices are extremely hard to use (arcane button presses) – this one is really simple to start recording without having to navigate a lot of controls. Handy when you’re in a situation and want to make sure it goes on the record. Overall good value.
