Esto no es un producto de alta seguridad. Es un cable muy fino que sirve para fijar piezas de bajo valor a la bici, para evitar que alguien se lo lleve de forma oportunista. La etiqueta dice que solo se debe usar para asegurar sillines o cascos. Bien, para este uso le doy 5 estrellas.El cable es fino y seguramente se puede cortar relativamente rápido con alicates. Pero si tu sillín y tija vale 50€, no creo que un ladrón se atreve a sacar herramientas para tan poco. El cable es ligero para llevar y suficientemente fino como para poder pasarse por encima de las barras del sillín.Hay dos maneras típicas de enganche. La primera, y mas segura, es pasar un lazo entre el sillín y las barras y después pasar el otro lazo dentro del primero. Este segundo lazo se engancha en el candado principal de la bici y ahora es imposible llevarse el sillín sin romper nada. Es menos seguro, pero de este modo puede ir con el cable permanentemente en posición segura. Specialized Cable That’s Great For Specific Uses.
I have a heavy U-lock (Abus Granit Plus 640) that secures my bike frame and the rear wheel to a bike rack. I also have a quick-release seat. I pull this KryptoFlex 525 cable through the one of the stays on the bottom of the seat, then run one loop through the other loop, and then run the through loop down to the U-lock. This cable also narrow enough to fit through my helmet, so I don’t have to carry it around. A second short, but heavier, cable is used in the same way to secure the quick release front wheel to the U-lock. Someone who with a good pair of wire cutters who knew what they were doing could probably go through this KryptoFlex 525 in a few minutes, but to get a used helmet and seat? This deters crimes of opportunity, not a professional thief; realize what you’re purchasing. The KryptoFlex 525 is small and light weight and also used with the second short cable to suspend the U-lock between the seat stays and the rear bike rack while I’m riding, too, eliminating the need to carry the U-lock with brackets on the down tube. In short, it’s perfect for what I need.

It was the right size
I bought this security cable to replace the larger steel cable (that was coiled for use on a bicycle). I needed a steel cale to securely attach the battery to my wife’s lightweight and foldable mobility scooter. It worked perfectly. It is small enough to fit through the battery handle, but heavy enough that it can withstand anything short of bolt cutters. This is a very well made product for a good price if you don’t need a large cable.

I bought this cable to accompany a lock that I purchased. I have found it to be lightweight, easy to use, and a good value for the money. It’s really thin, so I returned it. Can’t see it doing the job of preventing theft of a bike. More like keeping a patio chair from being stolen.

OK for locking inexpensive expendable items. Easily defeated; not for real bicycle security.
I use this for my bicycle seat, or also an empty backpack. It can easily be clipped with a pair of bolt cutters in my opinion, so it’s for supplemental security of small value items in my opinion. I don’t use this to lock anything important. I use serious locks for my bike and wheels, and this isn’t that. It is what it is.
