    High Speed, Low Drag

    This was purchased for a disk brake conversion on a long wheelbase recumbent. Along with an Avid BB-7 and 160 mm rotor, the result is like the sensation one had driving an automobile with power assisted brakes for the first time. No stretch so far, low friction, very good feel and modulation.

    This wire is the real deal.I’m no fan of coated wires — the coating flakes off and becomes a bit of a nuisance.Stainless extruded is smooth to the touch around the circumference; the “humps” of the individual wire strands are re-shaped into flats so all of the individual strands form a continues “smooth” surface.This is the wire I’ve for years run to Avid BB7s on the rear of my cargo bike and tandem.The packaging shown in the stock product photo is incorrect as it shows the galvanized version of this cable. Make sure you’re getting the stainless for the best longevity.
