Effective, and fairly light weight
Nicely designed, and fairly robust makes this a decent chain lock for your bike, and other items you may want to secure. The links are 6mm, which is a decent size for what I would call medium security. This is not something where you would want to use it as your only line of security if you’re locking your bike in a tough area of town, but it is certainly more than capable for a quick stop at a restaurant, rest room, etc. while you’re out for a ride. A large pair of bolt cutters will open it, but then again, if you had a chain heavy duty enough for any attack on it, it would be way to heavy to ride with, so this makes a terrific compromise between security and usability. My wife uses this for her e-bike when she stops at the park, and with the excellent covering over the links, you can attach is any way you’d like to your bike as it won’t scratch the paint. This is a really nice chain lock, and I would get it again if I need another one.

Code Did Not Set Properly First Time
I actually own the previous iteratation of this bicycle lock. It’s kept my bike safe for over 8 years, and has been used, worn, and even had the housing ripped, but kept on chugging; so when I saw this one offered, I jumped at getting it.Whelp, there’s good news and bad news. Firstly: the lock numbers wheels are made of plastic now instead of metal. Next: the combination setting that I made did not hold the first time around. I ended up having to spend 45 minutes basically breaking the code that did set.So: when setting the lock and initially testing it, read the instructions and follow them precisely. The second time around I managed to set it at my chosen combination.I am slightly concerned the I may accidentally reset this lock due to the kind of setting it has. My old lock had a much better and stronger setting knob.I’ll be using this as a secondary backup lock, rather than my primary lock for all the above mentioned reasons.It’s a good lock for short term use while shopping, but I would not depend upon it in an overnight situation, as it was so easy for me to decode and break into.

Great Kit!
This is a great combo lock! Its easy to use and the cloth chain cover keeps your bike from getting scratched up. Its easy lock/unlock and seems to work well to keep my bike safe. Its just long enough to lock my bike to a bike rack, but not so long that it makes it difficult to stow. Its also not too heavy. I’ve been using mine for a few weeks and it still looks like new. It seems like its built well enough to last a long time.5/5 stars, exactly what I needed.

Strong and easy for my kid scooter
I got this lock so my kid can use it on his electric scooter while at school. It feels strong and well made. The combination is easy to set and easy to lock and unlock, even for a kid. Flimsy Chain Lock That Offers No Protection
This chain lock claims heavy duty but the links under the fabric sleeve are tiny and thin like cheap jewelry chain. The steel bends easy with hand pressure and feels like a hammer would smash it open in one hit. The fabric cover hides how small the actual chain is and misleads you into thinking it is tougher. The combination dial turns rough and sticks sometimes when setting numbers. I would not leave a bike locked with this anywhere I care about it staying.The lock body feels light plastic and the whole thing weighs almost nothing for supposed security. The length reaches around frames but the weakness makes it useless against real theft. This lock gives false confidence with its looks but fails basic strength tests. The price might seem low but it is too much for something this poor. I regret trusting it even for short stops.

Good Backup Sturdy Chain Lock
I recently got a new e-bike and am worried about it being stolen; that happens really often. As much fun as it is being out, I am always on the lookout for public restrooms where I can walk the bike into the stall with me to keep it safe. This limits where I’m able to stop – including stores.This lock will be a good one to use while I get something better (and a lot more expensive) for quick stops.It’s lightweight, the chain feels sturdy, and you can set your own combination. It wraps easily around your bike frame, under the seat. There’s also a fabric protection sleeve around the chain to protect your bike’s finish from scratches.Once I buy a more expensive lock, which I can trust to leave the bike for quick trips into the store, this lock will be a great secondary lock for added theft deterrence.I recommend this for anyone who needs a second bike chain lock or anyone who needs a lock for a door.
