Feels to be good quality – rope does not break down during use
I’ve used this Gear Floss (much more like a soft, absorbent, thin rope than a floss) for cleaning my bike, and they’re surprisingly useful for getting into the tight spaces that are difficult to reach with a regular brush or rag. They work especially well around the cassette (7 speed), chain, derailleur, and other small areas where dirt and grime tend to build up. The design makes it easy to pull debris out of narrow gaps without scratching the components, and I love that it doesn’t seem to break down and leave fibers behind.I also like that the pack comes with plenty of pieces, so I don’t feel like I have to be overly careful about reusing a dirty one. The included grease is a nice bonus as well. My only complaint is that some pieces can feel a little flimsy when you’re working on really stubborn buildup. Overall, a handy little detailing tool for bike maintenance and worth having around.

Great for Cleaning Hard-to-Reach Areas on My E-Bike
This has been a very useful addition to my e-bike cleaning kit. The design makes it much easier to reach into tight areas around the frame, drivetrain, wheels, and other spots that are awkward to clean with a larger brush or cloth.It does a good job loosening dirt and grime without making the cleaning process more complicated than it needs to be, and the compact size makes it easy to keep with the rest of my bike-maintenance supplies.A simple tool, but very effective for getting into those hard-to-reach places and keeping the bike looking clean and well maintained.As a set the cleaning fibers and grease are a great value, I’ve paid just as much for grease alone.

My Gears were Filthy
This is a review for: “Gear Floss 3D Printer Cleaning Rope 50 Pack,2 Grease”I am not an avid biker such as road biking or marathons like some are but I do occasionally ride my bike. Several years back i switched my tires from mountain tires to road tires and never outgrew my adult bike i got when i was a teenager so, yep, I still have my Huffy bike from the early 90’s. With that said i have never really thought about cleaning the gears but after seeing this i realized it might be a good idea to do that.The rope is strong and despite having pointy gears nearby it didn’t seem to snag or unravel on them. The set comes with a generous number of individual cleaning ropes and several tubes of cleaning or lubricating paste.Boy were my gears filthy and so after some work which took me a few hours i was able to get the gears back to a much better state. If you’ve never cleaned your bike gears i would highly recommend it and this is a great kit to choose for that.

Great quantity, quality string, with two tubes of grease.
There are a lot of cleaning ropes and two tubes of grease to be able to lubricate your chain for quite a long time. These are super versatile and can be used to clean all sorts of things, and even tie things up and out of the way during maintenance.Each lace can be used several times if done right and can easily last over a year of moderate maintenance. There is a whole bundle that comes with the kit.The only thing that doesn’t come with it is the degreaser itself, but this is pretty easy to come by.Overall, super straightforward to use, effective, made out a good quality cotton with aglets, and white lithium grease included. Great value for the money.

Too big for 11 speed cassette
I was hoping to use these to help clean out the gunk in my cassette. However, the rope is just too big to fit into the narrow space between the cogs. Maybe this is better for 8- or 9-speed cassettes, but for 11- or 12-speed cassettes, it doesn’t fit between the cogs. I used it to run against the chainrings where I could, and it picked up some dirt, but I can’t use it for my main need. The material is strong, and it doesn’t fray, so this might be good for other cleaning needs that aren’t so tight.

Great Deal for a Generous Supply of Microfiber Cleaning Ropes
This is a terrific deal for a generous supply of 50 micofiber cleaning ropes and two tubes of lithium grease. I primarily got this to floss the grit and grim out of my bicycle chain and cassette assembly. It does a great job and is easy to get into the tight space between the gears without shredding or getting stuck. I have been using it dry and it does a great job. Combined with a degreaser, these rope would do a magnificent job of deep cleaning the cassette without having to overspray or soak the assembly. I particularly like that these ropes are fully washable. The lithium grease is a nice bonus that does a great job lubricating appropriate components on the bicycle. This is an outstanding deal for a great product.
