It works does the job
If you are installing it on a frame you have to drill in nuts and metal bolts. It will latch onto the metal. I was able to get it to work on my mountain bike as I turned it into a ebike to have a battery mount and controller mount on. Wiring it through did take some time as the magnet kept pulling onto those instead of the bike cables I was trying to pull through. It works though.

I know what you’re thinking….
I know what you’re thinking. You just bought your fist dropper post and you want to run internal cable routing but you’re tired of buying single use tools for your bike. You’ve tried running spare cable through your bike to pull the dropper post wire through, no luck. You tired the floss and vacuum trick, no luck….and you’re left defeated. Just buy the tool, your time is worth more than the few bucks this tool is, one trick pony or not. It took my 5 minutes to run my drop post cable housing, where as it took me an hour to give up trying other methods.

Not too useful with steel frames
Not great with steel frames if you need to use the magnet , but I was able to make good use of it anyway and it was helpful with a little bit of duct tape. Product is good quality! Comes with a nice little plastic case to keep it all together.

Great tool and 1/8 the price of the Park tool.
Great tool. When my dropper post cable cover slipped when trying to run a new cable into it, I had the thread the cover back up to the dropper connection. This tool helped me run the cable all the way down the downtube to just below the seat tube where it had to bend backwards to get up the seat tube. I made a quick tool from a clear hose to help it get past that point (pulling the cover from the lever end).This tool was extremely easy to use and the magnet was very powerful to lead the wire down the downtube. First time for me doing this work in my first year of MTB riding and would highly recommend the tool to anyone doing this sometimes tricky job.

Doesn’t work with Dropper Post cables.
Not a great solution when installing a dropper post cable. Neither of the adapters fit the cable housing or could be used for this. Was disappointed there was no included solution….
