To make the alignment of the disc brakes as easy as possible, place the clam on the brake disc, then align the brake and fix it. The Razor Clam is now even easier to handle thanks to the fold-out handle and the larger surface area and it can now also be easily adjusted 4-piston brakes. Material: aluminium/stainless steel.     this works

    First time I used this device, was after pad change. This gets the caliper piston positioned correctly so pads are centered on rotor. Use every time I bleed brakes and change or dress pads.

    A very simple and inexpensive tool that is invaluable for easily adjusting the disc brake calipers. Wish I had these years ago.

    A K-I-S-S shim for disc brakes

    First of all, it does what it supposed to do and it ain’t a miracle worker. But now, i don’t need to eyeball the brake calipers and worry about the brake pads distance! Don’t forget to clean it after every use!

    The half a mm shim on both side of the brake doesn’t make any practical difference. I still ended up carefully positioning the calipers by hand & by squinting. Maybe for some very fine tuned new calipers this would be useful.
