Surprisingly good
Used this to replace a bad dropper seat lever and cable on a new to us MTB. Came with everything needed including cable and wrenches. Not sure if the wrenches fit, we used our own. Cable slid thru casing without issue, able to place lever in desired place. After some installation errors from me, everything came together and works fine. Less than half the price of anything else… hopefully it stands up.

I knew it would suck…
Obviously it’s cheap and I knew it would suck. But it sucks really bad. Knowing that it sucks I slowly tightened screws, testing as I went as I didn’t want to over tighten and crack the cheap material. But instead the screw just stripped as if it was soft plastic. So it’s now stuck on my bike and unusable until I drill it out.Feels like it would have broken during my first ride anyways.

Long enough to fit medium specialized status 2
Worked great on a specialized status 170, was a challenge to route the cable but that is not this kits fault. The length was long enough and adjustable. Unfortunately the actual dropper post pivot section which depresses the pressure nipple at base of post broke on second use, again not the fault of this lever and wire but rather annoying all the same. Because of that I can say if the lever or cable is durable long term as I don’t know. I’ll use it on new dropper post if I get around to buying one!

Works Great, No Issues
Does the job just fine. I didn’t have any of the issues some others describe like the metal being soft and being stripped by the screw. There are no instructions for installation. The manufacturer likely assumes the purchaser knows his or her way around a bike with tools. For those not facile with tools and bikes, installation is pretty simple: Fit the lever clamp onto your handlebars, either side, your choice. Pick the side with the fewer controls so your thumb can easily reach the lever. Screw the clamp screw down securely. Then loosen the screw on the lever. Pull the cable through the barrel adjuster (Make sure the barrel adjuster is screwed all the way onto its holder.) The cable housing seats into the barrel adjuster. Tuck the cable under the screw on the lever. Pull the cable as tight as you can making sure the lever is at its fully not activated position, pliers help. Tighten the screw. Test. Screw the barrel adjuster out to snug up the cable if necessary. Go ride.

This is a Quality lever, that adds “bling” as well. I used it with a PNW Dropper seat post.Note: I have short fingers/thumbs and there is a slightly longer “Throw” than I would like, but it is very adjustable, and once set, you get used to its position and “throw”.
