    Quality aluminum socket

    Looks and works exactly as described, worked perfectly to replace the chainring on my m6100 crank. Very nice tool regardless of the price point, which is also great considering I’ll probably only use this socket once.

    I had the Park Tool version in my cart and was ready to buy it. Then I saw this one for about half the price, so I swapped it in. I’m sure the Park tool would have done a great job, just as this one did. For a tool that is going to see very little use–I mean, how many times are you going to loosen and tighten that one lockring inside a current Shimano mtn. bike crank?–ya may as well save a few bucks.

    Needed tool for 12 speed shimano chainring installation on SLX 12 crankset. Much cheaper than Park Lool and no problem with install.

    Works great, and is good for a budget.

    I’ve already installed a hand full of rotors and 3 bottom brackets (fully torqued multiple times as I figured out spacers and chain lines), and its still working. It has become a bit loose on the drive side though, so it fell off a couple times on the final torque of my last bottom bracket. For a budget, this is perfect for occasional use.

    Shimano Bottom bracket & Chainring bolt tool – affordable solution!

    Product works well.Parktool BBT 9 fits perfectly on it.Yes, it’s aluminum. Careful when torquing down and supporting the tool properly during install will help prevent slippage.Works as chainring bolt installation tool for 7100 SLX crank, didn’t realize it at the time but it also installed the matching shimano bottom bracket so that was a nice surprise.Only gripe I have is there’s no method to attach a torque wrench but… that’s just me being picky about a $13 tool lol.Overall extremely satisfied.
