Does seem to be carbon fiber
Does seem to be carbon fiber, and not 3d printed. I base this on a small leftover mold mark, which is quite hard and sharp.A fairly minimal design, as others have noted it isn’t capable of holding very large bottles. Also as noted, the included screws will protruding and press into your water bottle. This will limit what types of bottles you can use, without damage.The holder is light, and screws are included, but no instructions or information sheet is included.I also noticed that the price has dropped significantly since the time of my order.Due to the screws, and the original full price, I’d say this holder falls short. Even at the current discounted price, you’d be limited because of the screws, and the mounting depth of the holder.

Easy to install, holds some water bottles
No issues with this water bottle holder, really. It is super-simple to install, and your bicycle may have come with pre-installed flush mount screws (mine did). It’s durable and looks very nice. The downside is that it likes slim, tall bottles, and it’s difficult to find ones over 20 ounces that fit.

Perfect for my mountain bicycle
I’m so glad I was able to find this Carbon Fiber Bike Water Bottle Holder, this device had significantly improved my bicycle’s ordinary look.. First thing it was SO EASY TO INSTALL, the kit comes with instructions to use proper installation…impressive quality and precision holding the bottle. this decal is small in size but mighty powerful and delivers such an amazing quality. it’s so simple yet so functional, the design is so rich in details, lightweight and high quality; very worth it, I will definitely recommend it! Great for Soft Plastic Water Bottles, But Requires Flush Fitting Screws for Hard Walled Bottles
My current bottle holder is metal (aluminum). I have a very nice, medium capacity vacuum insulated metal bottle which is great for keeping your water nice and cold when you’re out on longer warm weather rides. My only issue with my current bottle holder is that it tends to rattle around when I am riding. I can orient the carrying loop as shown in the attached photo and it stops this. But it can bounce free and require readjustment from time to time. I thought this plastic/carbon fiber holder would eliminate that slight irritation.I wound up having to install it on my Cannondale bike using the screws which were used with my old holder. The provided screws have squared shoulders on the top. The screw heads project a considerable distance above the level of the bed of the holder when fully tightened. This created a raised lip several millimeters high. You could push a soft plastic bottle in past this. But any hard wall bottle with an edge cannot be pushed in with one motion. It literally takes two hands, one to spring the two sides of the holder apart and the other to push the bottle in. Additionally, if you do this, the raised screws will scratch your bottle up. I tried my original screws, which have lower profile rounded heads. These were better, but they still project upwards above the recess provided for the screw heads. The long and short is that with either set of screws installed the hard walled bottle can’t be practically inserted with the bike in motion. The bottle can be pushed in easily with a bit of force with the holder off the bike. The lesson being, to use this holder with a hard walled bottle you will need to source some flat head screws which will not project above the bed of the holder when installed. The photo I included was using my lower profile rounded head screws.This is a nice light weight holder which should work perfectly with the squeeze type soft plastic bottle many people use. But it is not suitable for hard walled bottles unless you change out the screws. The easy fix for the manufacturer, provide these types of screws which will install flush without presenting an obstruction.

super lightweight real carbon fiber, but doesn’t work with standard bicycle water bottles
First the good stuff: this is a real carbon fiber bottle holder that weighs just 1.1 oz or 31 grams (slightly heavier than they claim). It includes stainless steel mounting bolts and an allen wrench for easy install.The bad news is, the product listing is right about the bottle diameters this thing supports. It also says it doesn’t support oversized water bottles, but what they need to mention is that it also doesn’t support standard bicycle water bottles. I tried 3 different bicycle bottles in it, and they all had the same issue: the arms, which are stiff and not super flexible, will crush the sides of any plastic bike bottle, even my thicker walled insulated Camelback bottle. Also, on one of my bottles, there are some ridges for gripping the bottle, and the top retention clip of this bottle holder is sharp and catches on those ridges, making it near impossible to get in.I also tried a few other bottle types. One was a single walled aluminum bottle, and that one fit great. Because it’s aluminum, it cannot be crushed by the arms. The double walled stainless also worked, but that one is too heavy for bike use, and kind of defeats the purpose of using an ultralight bottle holder when you use a heavy steel bottle in it. The holder also kept some of the paint from that bottle for itself.Finally, I tried a gatorade bottle just for fun. That one fit in OK, and because it’s got thicker corrugated sides, it didn’t get crushed, but also the shape made it hard to remove from the holder.Overall, I am not impressed. It’s super light, so that’s a plus, but the sharp edge on the top retainer is a bad design, and the size just doesn’t work for the internationally recognized bottle size standard. I get that the listing clearly gives the maximum dimensions, and you should check that against your bottles, but it doesn’t really make sense to market a bicycle bottle holder that does not fit the standard bicycle water bottle shape. I’m giving three stars because they clearly give the maximum dimensions this holder accepts, but removing stars because the max dimension is smaller than the accepted standard for bicycle water bottles which makes this product useless for its intended purpose.

Sleek carbon fiber bottle holder
I’ve been in the market for a bottle holder for my bike for a while when this popped up for me.I’m a fan of all things carbon fiber, so the sleek design and lightweight nature were instantly appealing.The design leaves room for this to fit just about any bike mounting situation, which is a basic requirement for anything not tied to a specific brand.Assembly is a cinch. Just tighten down the two screws to your bike and you’re ready to roll (literally).I will say that you need to pay attention to the bottle size this accepts. It is NOT for large diameter bottles! That said, I can squeeze a standard Gatorade bottle into mine without a problem.The carbon fiber is not a flexible material though, so I have a little concern about the longevity of this holder as I slide a bottle in or out over the years and maybe get the wrong angle. Hopefully it won’t wind up breaking on me, but it would be my lone concern with this particular holder.Otherwise, if you’re into the gray look of carbon fiber, I’m content to recommend this one.

Unmountable; weak 3D printed plastic
It’s cheaply 3D printed, and unless you’re looking to drill holes into your bike, doesn’t work as promised.There is this bottle holder , 2 hex screws, and a hex key. How do you get those screws INTO the metal bike frame?Drilling, I guess?There are no instructions or a sheet that shows if my package had all parts. So I have to assume I did receive all parts. But as it is, this won’t work without making holes in your bike.As for the types of bottles that fit, this is good for small water bottles of 16.9 oz, and equivalent metal bottles (pictured).These are the thin ones and not the thicker ones most bicycle folks tend to use. So that’s another star off the rating.Flimsy material (seems homemade actually), will likely break quickly, no way to attach without drilling holes, no instructions, only fits small/thin water bottles. Not impressed.This was a free evaluation item through Amazon Vine – but when I review things I always imagine I had to pay for it. And 15 bucks wouldn’t have been worth it.
