Perfect fit, for 2 bikes on a trailer hitch bike rack
First time I had the opportunity to use it. We went on vacation (1400 mile round trip). Lock was perfect. It was perfect size to lock 2 bikes to the hitch, Saris Freedom 2 Bike Tray Hitch Rack (also purchased on Amazon).I love the adjustable locking points.Only issue I had was when the weather is cold (in the 30’s) the loop is too tight to fit through the hitch look (where a typical trailer chain hook fits), so I have to loop it around the hitch bar itself.

Yes – this is a good quality cable lock that is very versatile. I use it for locking a bike. You can loop the two ends (I use one end for the back rim and frame and the other for the front and frame) and have the main cable go through the frame and the object your locking it to.I bought a canvas bag to carry the lock while riding.

Exactly what I was looking for. An easy to use cable lock that is just a step down from a full U-lock. The design is perfect. It’s very easy to get the front wheel with the loop and then adjust the pin for wrapping the frame and back wheel around the whatever I’m locking my bike to.

The lock that you get is NOT the Same Lock that is pictured (not talking about color).
I’m giving this lock 2 stars because this item (Wordlock MatchKey Cable Lock, 10mm/8′, Black) is NOT the same lock that is in the image.I needed a lock that looks like the one pictured to feed thru drainage holes that are molded into my sit-on-top kayak hull. The lock that you will get has a large cable loop swagged to the end that is opposite the lock mechanism end. Also, the 8′ cable is partly used up in this cable loop, so actual cable length is closer to 7.5′ long. The male end that shows on the end of the cable on the pictured lock is actually a floating fitting that is 90 degrees to the cable (cable fits thru a tight hole in the fitting) and it appears that you can slide this male fitting (likely with some difficulty) down the cable. One of the first questions in the Q&A for this items asks if this lock could fit thru a 3/4″ hole. It WOULD if it was designed like the lock in the image! Unfortunately, I did not read the Q&A before my purchase!The seller responded to that question saying that ‘it needs a minimum 2″ hole’. That large diameter opening is because of this cable loop!I really don’t understand why the seller doesn’t just show the ACTUAL lock image on the item’s page! It seems to be a decently made lock with quite a thick and long coated cable; its a lot of lock for the price, but it is NOT what is pictured. I find this to be deceptive: so, worth the money as a different type of lock than advertised, or not, its getting 2 stars from me and going back. And you get the ACTUAL image here ;-))
