Problem resolved with a replacement set.
I attempted to install these on Shimano crank arms. Tried to start the left one and it wouldn’t work. I learned early in life to start EVERY threaded part by hand, otherwise the threads get stripped (never a good outcome).Sending them back. Frustrated because they were the last part I needed to upgrade my wife’s bike.Follow-up—It was a quality control problem. Amazon sent a replacement set that work very well.

Nice lower cost replacement
My Shimano dual platform clip pedals finally bit the dust. The replacements were a bit steep so I decided to try these. So far so good. Lighter and well made at a much lower cost. Was concerned that the plastic wouldn’t hold up but they are really solid. Venzo makes a very similar pedal in metal if that is a concern. They went on fairly easily although they don’t have flats on the shank for a 15mm wrench like the Shimano and others. Just a 6mm allen slot that is accessed from the other side of the crank. Not a problem once I read the instructions. They are labeled as mountain bike but I use them for the road. The flat sides are great for the short trips with regular shoes.

Good dual use pedal
Nice pedals had to play with the adjustment for awhile till I achieved what I liked . Riding with my tennis shoes is a breeze would recommend for casual riders.

Great, quality pedals
I love these pedals. Small and light enough that they don’t add much weight to the bike, but sturdy, solid and nice. Clipping in to them is easy and unclipping is equally as smoothe. Love them!

Great alternative to higher priced brand name pedals
I found these extremely easy to clip in and out of, in fact I tightened the tension a bit. I would say the precision when snapped in is a little less than my Shimanos, but I am using these on an e-bike so it’s actually preferable to have the additional freedom. Maybe not ideal for a high performance application. The platform is large and provides good grip. No problem clipping in from my Shimano mountain bike shoes which have the clips flush with the tread.

Works well, doesn’t slip too much
I previously had a similar pair but made of metal, from a different brand. The screws on the metal one (which are there for traction) kept scratching my legs when I was walking alongside the bike. This one is a little scratchy but doesn’t draw blood when I bump into it, and it’s got just enough traction to be useful while biking in the rain without my clips. With the clips, it’s great.Overall, no major complaints.I do wish that you could install/remove with a wrench instead of a hex.

After 13 months of weekly use these pedals stand up
I use these pedals weekly all year round – they wear well, remain in perfect working order with monthly dry lubing, the tension adjustments work well and are set in a useful working range ie) not too tight or too sloppy. These pedals offer an excellent balance between riding with SPD clips or flat soled shoes on the alternate platform side. Recommended!

Great pedals for Concept 2 bike erg
I have been using clip pedals for years on my road bike, and had also installed them on my home spin bike. When I got my bike erg, I wanted a dual sided pedal so my partner (who doesn’t like using clips) can use the erg with regular shoes but I could still use it with clips and my bike shoes. They were very easy to install, and strong enough for me to do standing hill drills. They are also easily adjustable with my SPD clips. Great price and highly recommended.

Perfect commuter/cyclist pedals
Pedals were exactly what I needed. I can ride to the golf course with my golf shoes on and go on a 30 mile ride with my bike shoes on in the afternoon. Great produce and a great price.

Light, 7
Ran these on my Levo for 2 years. Just got thus pair for my Heckler SL. Had previosly run dualside aluminum petals, those got shattered on rocks. These are high denity polyethylene, so not as prone to damage. Great price, light weight, versatile (i like clips for climbing, flats for dicy downhills). The flat side isnt super grippy but i dont need it for downs and it never spikes your shins.

Working well after 90km
Easy to clip in. Good looking. 90km in and feeling solid yet, (gravel/road 200lbs rider)
