Convenient for a quick wash, though it has some structural quirks
I’ve been using this LUAKIIHM chain cleaner on my road bike for a few weeks now, and it’s a decent little tool if you go into it with the right expectations. The best feature by far is the derailleur hook. Being able to hang the unit and back-pedal with one hand while the other holds the bike or a rag is a huge step up from the handheld cleaners that require a bit of a balancing act. The top fill port is also a smart addition, as it lets you top off your degreaser without having to open the whole thing up and risk a mess.The cleaning performance is a bit of a mixed bag. If you just want your bike to look sharp, it does a great job of scrubbing the outer plates of the chain until they shine. On the other hand, it doesn’t seem to get deep into the rollers and inner links where the grit actually causes wear. I’ve noticed that after a session with this, my chain looks new, but a deeper inspection reveals some leftover grime that a more heavy-duty brush might have caught.I also have some reservations about the build quality over the long term. The plastic used for the main body feels thick and sturdy enough, but the locking latch is very stiff. You really have to flex the plastic to get it to snap shut or pop open, and I can see that being a potential failure point down the road if you aren’t careful with it. Setting it up the first time was also a little fiddly because the screws for the hook are quite small.It’s a handy device for keeping things tidy between major tune-ups, and the “automatic” feel of the 360 brushes makes the chore less tedious. It might be a little pricey for a casual plastic tool, but for light maintenance and quick post-ride cleanups, it gets the job done well enough.

Good bike cleaning device but difficult to open
This bicycle chain cleaner works well and I like that it attaches to the rear hub of the bike, so it is hands free. I’m not giving it a five-star rating because it I have found it very difficult to open after I have finished the cleaning process. It actually is a bit frustrating at times.

Ok chain cleaning
The chain cleaner has a hook that goes on the shifting derailer but I had problems with it staying hooked. But it works well when I hold it while guiding the chain through the cleaner.

Nice design, but looks breakable.
I already own a chain cleaner, that goes around the chain and has to be held in place. But I really like the design of this chain cleaner. Hanging it to the rear derailleur, means it can be used one-handed for a quick clean.It is however slightly smaller and it took me awhile to figure out the locking mechanism. It was hard to open and I didn’t want to break it. After opening it several times, it now moves much easier, but I am sure the plastic latch will eventually fail just from frequent bending.Is it worth it?Hard to say, it is more expensive than my regular chain cleaner, at the same time smaller and with fewer brushes. It certainly won’t replace my regular cleaner. But it is easy to use for a quick clean.
