    Probably works with straight bars.

    It probably works fine with straight bars but with BMX style bars it wont hold the bars in place. Too much has been cut out from the center of the gooseneck to contact the handlebar spline. Color is more burnt orange than red but still looks good. Too bad it didn’t work out.

    for sucha small component it is heavy

    had to return this one, the intent was to shorten the reach on my bike, but to take a carbon bike and add a heavy handlebar mount seems odd. Had to return it the current one I have is a little longer and weighs a fraction of this one. ill stay with what I have.

    Is it safe?

    The overall finish was poor, raising the question what else may be compromised in the material used or heat treatment. Given the critical nature of this component, I’ve now removed it and gone to back what I had before. Also, the short stem caused some handling issues on my bike.

    Fit well, tightens up correctly. Color is a little bit light, it doesn’t really match the other colors of gold accessories I have but blends in ok.

    This is the worst stem that I have ever seen. The metal actually stretched and broke. It never held my handlebars. Tight look at the picture. What kind of metal is this?

    Looks nice but didn’t work for me.

    I ordered because my old head stem clamp was for a 31.8mm handlebar which I have swapped out for this 25.4mm riser handlebar. Unfortunately it does not clamp tight enough to stop the handlebars from moving. Actually managed to break one of the bolts trying to tighten it all the way
