While trying to install (and then troubleshoot) these bar ends, I learned all about clamp and handlebar end diameters on mountain bikes, trying to find out if the issue was with my bike or something. Nope—on mountain bikes, they’re all a standard 22.2mm diameter. While troubleshooting I learned the central area where a handlebar clamps to the bike stem can have a few different diameters, but the rest of the handlebar tube is always 22.2mm on mountain bikes. (Thus any brand of brakes or shifters or grips are compatible with any handlebars.)So…these bar ends felt great and were very ergonomically designed. But they simply did not fit properly—or rather, ONE did not. I was able to cinch down the left bar end to keep it from slipping, but the right remained way too loose after repeated efforts. I worked the clamping mechanism, cleaned and scraped out the rubber and metal spurs in the bar end clamp that I thought might be interfering with the tightening process, looked online to see if there might be a hack or workaround. In desperation I eventually just tried adding gorilla tape on the bar to increase the outer diameter, which did nothing but make a mess as it of course just smeared under the still-loose bar end clamp. It”s a shame, such a great design shape and quality rubber, but apparently some serious quality control issues. These bar ends are in my junk box. Would not buy again.

Small but work wonders
Best $9 accessory you can get for a bike. I was having trouble with hands getting numb while riding. These have made a world of difference. Just the right size that they are not in the way and give you several ways to move your hands. Just a small adjustment seems to make a lot of difference. They are soft and comfortable.

I think this is a EVO knock-off. Exact same design as EVO, just less nice rubber and finish.that said, I think this design is the BEST bar end you can use.that little back tab is a great place to rest the heel of your palm, verrrry comfortable.

Simple, cheap and effective
I knew I wanted to add some bar ends to my Aggressor GT Comp mountain bike.. these were some of the cheapest I could find on Amazon.Been riding with them at the point of this review for 7 rides.. 190+km and I’m loving them.Use an Allen key or hex bit and a screw driver to install these on your handlebars.These should be on every bike as far as I’m concerned. If you use the stock straight bar on a bike you’ll get hand and wrist fatigue quickly. Having these bar ends are a game changer and for me can double the time I can ride pain free.Buy these.

Comfortable
These feel comfortable and cradle your palm like the ones available that are integrated with grips.They wouldn’t tighten well as is – a piece of plastic tape wrapped around the bar end easily fixes this.We’ll see how they hold up. Seems like a good value

Great bar ends!
These are very good quality, sized just right! I have big hands, some reviews said these weren’t big enough, these are comfortable, without being obnoxious. They place the palms of your hands at the center of the handle bar, not above, giving a balance/even feel.

Perfect size
I always used bar ends on my mountain bikes, so when I bought a class 1 emtb I wanted to add something for the uphill and honestly they’re the perfect size. Out of the package Ii thought I would have to return them for being too small but they work great. Paired with some grips that have flat spot for your palm (and which are shorter to accomodate the bar ends on a stock bar) you’ve got the mtb equivelant of an ergonomic keyboard… looks kinda funny but is supremely comfortable for many hours.

These are ok, but the material is very soft. Softer than I like. I eneded up with a pair that looks identicaly that are branded “Trans-x” although the description says “CyclingDeal Bike Bicycle Ergonomic Antislip Handlebar Ends for MTB Mountain City Suitable for 22.2mm Handlebar One Pair” They are firmer and have lasted well.

For casual use, not serious cross country
I ordered these to help my hands survive a four-day road and gravel tour. The other guys had touring bikes with drop bars, but I was using my old hardtail mtb, and I knew that keeping one hand position would cause me grief. For the price, they’re not bad. There’s a bit of softness/give to them, and they allowed me to change to two or three different hand positions for relief.I wouldn’t recommend them for full-on mountain biking for one reason. The bolt on the underside protrudes, and I can imagine that cutting into your hand when you’re really pulling on them. I have a pair of very similar Cane Creek bar-ends on my other mtb, and the bolt is recessed into the grip.
