Easy to add a bottle cage almost anywhere
I started commuting with a Segway electric scooter and wanted a way to secure my water bottle to it. The Versa Mount was able to wrap around the upright pole of the scooter and I was able to install a bottle cage right on the front. The only problem was the bolts unscrewed themselves from the vibrations. I ended up getting two more nuts for the screws to thread into and some Loctite.

Safety Issue
So safety is a huge concern with these. First off I like that they do not cause damage to carbon fiber forks. However, these do not support the weight of a 64oz kleen canteen. They will however hold nicely with a carbon fiber water bottle holder at 16oz. Only!They do stretch and under UV light become brittle. Also use thread lock. I also have an issue of the bottle mount screws coming loose and that is a huge safety concern while these are mounted to the front forks and in traffic.

Finally! Ever since I refurbed my late 70’s pre braze-ons Bob Jackson I’ve tried multiple devices to hang a bottle cage, some with Velcro that just didn’t grip and a metal one that i was afraid to tighten for fear I’d crush the tubes. These are a perfect solution. They grip solidly but they’re plastic so they won’t crush the tube, and they’re low profile and probably won’t interfere with cables. I installed them and then cut off most of the excess plastic. The next best thing to having a frame builder braze on some bosses. I’ll be getting more for my other old but less classic road bike (if i ever get it back on the road.)

You can find a generic one of these for probably a few bucks less… do yourself a favor and spend the extra 2 bucks on this topeak one. I put it on my son’s bike that had no cage screws, and it works like a champ. Lightweight but solid…

multiple ways to attach creates a two-for-the-price-of one
these are great to add water bottle holder on front fork. You receive 2 and normally you would use these 2 to attach a single water bottle cradle (bought separately) but there is a clever trick: You can put one on each side of your front fork and use the fender-mount-holes on the fork as the second mounting point. Or, if your fork has mid-fork mounters for front carrier these can also be used

These things lock down great to your bike frame, handlebars, seatpost, etc. Once you lock the device it will not move or rattle. Really glad I bought these and not some cheap model

Not Strong enough
Good idea, but poor product development. The concept is good and will hold a water bottle firmly in-place. HOWEVER, the plastic “tightener” is not strong / beefy enough, and will crack / break, rendering the strap useless. The strap holder broke while pulling the water bottle out of the cage….pulled the bottle at an slight angle, thereby putting more torque on the holder. It snapped. In a pinch, remove the holding strap and use zip ties to get home. Good luck!

Great item, needed an extra bottle mount, easy to fit, very secure.
