Probably the best compact multi-tool, but some form factor limitations

For emergency trail fixes, this thing has most of the tools you’ll probably ever need. The biggest challenge is that some of the bits are very short for certain bolt locations. I had a last-gen Alien before this and found it to be an easier to use form factor, with longer more versatile bits. Still, the PT30 does the job, and it’s extremely light and compact.

Small and Lightweight, Slightly Cumbersome to Use

This is a great super small, lightweight tool kit. It’s more difficult to get the tools out and use them than you’d think – especially on the trail and under group pressure to get moving again. Almost cut myself on the knife, even after reading another reviewer’s warning, because it’s fixed, and doesn’t move without a release. The blade is sharp and unprotected from fingers reaching under to get leverage. You’d think it would have a protector on the blade, given how little it will get used and the design. And the two halves must be taken apart to use some hex sizes, so those can’t be just quickly accessed and returned.I carry separate 3 & 4mm hex wrenches for that purpose, since they are light and easy to attach anywhere. But it is comforting to have all these options in such a small package always on the bike.

    Quality, practical, compact tool

Nicely finished and easy to stash away.Only 1 downside found so far… the 2 spoke ‘keys’ included in the chain breaker tool don’t fit my spokes! I had to grab another multitool to true my wheels up.Otherwise, pretty good. I would have liked to have tried the Crank Brothers tool too, but this will do the trick.

This tool is very small and seems delicate

The tool is small and seems delicate.Small is nice, as it is compact. However, I am not sure it is a benefit when using it as a working tool.I find that the need to disconnect the chain tool to use it and its spoke wrenches is not that user-friendly.I would be happy to see a Presta valve removal wrench on such tools.

Has everything I need on the trail

This is a great multi-tool. It replaced an old crankbrothers multi-tool that had rusted to where it was difficult to open the individual tools. This is much better finish, and it feels like the tolerances are much better. The only caveat to this tool is that some of the allen keys are a little short, and the wide body of the tool makes accessing recessed allen bolts difficult. It’s a tad on the heavy side, but I like having everything I need, including a tire plug setup on the tool. I just carry the plugs separately.

Chain link assembly tool feels complicated

The chain link assembly tool feels a little complicated for roadside repairs otherwise good quality tools all round

Good tool that works well. You need to read the leaflet for the chain splitter.

Good tool, most important it actually works, even the chain splitter works but it does need the instructions to be followed so read the leaflet otherwise the key cant be held off when tightening. You do have to learn this bit I think. All the other tools are straightforward and the steel is quality so does not round off in use. Great product, reasonable size and weight.

    Chain Breaker Broke

I liked how compact this tool was but after a little use the chain breaker’s pin just fell off after some chain work. I had the chain in the tool perfectly square but this thing just broke. Now this whole tool is a lot less useful.
