Very handy portable tool
I carry the Original Handlebar Jack V3 with other emergency gear in a handlebar bag (e.g. to make it easier to remove a wheel) and they are also useful for some simpler maintenance and cleaning tasks. Usage is simple: pull the two jacks apart (they are held together with a magnet), open the tripod legs, strap (upside down) to suitable points on handlebars, turn the bicycle over until the jacks and seat are on the ground. The jacks are best suited for working on the bike on reasonably level ground, but – with care – stable if the ground is not perfectly level. When work is done, turn the bicycle upright, undo the straps, close the tripod legs, and put the two halves together.

Good To Have
Bought these stands for my 90lb Ebike which has a lot of gear attached to the handlebars. Turning this big bike upside down is a bit of a challenge, but once it’s settled on the stands it’s very stable. The design makes it strong in all the needed places. That is to say that weight pushing directly down on the stands is very sturdy and stable, but if you are a little rough opening and closing the tripod legs I could see how they may crack or break as others have mentioned. But overall this item is very helpful when working on the bike in the garage, driveway, the side of the road, or off-road. Their small size make them easy to take along in my mobile tool bag.

Didn’t work for my Specialized Vado 5.0 IGH
I have an e bike and thought these would be great for on the road puncture repairs. I did a dry run in the garage, fitted them exactly as described. I just couldn’t see how they would work – and they didn’t! The bike was too heavy and the tripod just kept rolling over and collapsing. It would have been even worse out on some grass. Looking at the construction they just don’t make any sense to me but you may have more success with them. I returned for a refund.

Convenient
A couple of observations; The concept of a portable stand is convenient. Be aware they are not the most stable stand and probabley work best with a lighter bike. I have an electric bike, it can be tricky to flip it upside down while keeping the stands correctly aligned. You may want to consider them as a portable alternative to a proper stand.

Handy little device
It’s very easy to attach and adjust on the bike handlebar. I’ve used it for my e-bike and my roadbike with no problems. It’s surprising how light it actually is and I love how they connect to each other magnetically. Very compact and easy to carry on the bike or in a pocket.

They work! But will they last?…
I give these a 4.5. They’re a great alternative to an upright bike mount. For what I need, these kept the handlebars off the ground, avoiding ground contact with the display of my ebike, as well as things like the handlebar phone mount I have installed. There is just enough clearance, that nothing touches the ground except the handlebar jacks. They’re easy to install, easy to remove when you’re done, and I like that they snap together with magnets for easy storage. They are a little pricey as others mentioned, but on the other hand, it’s better than a $100+ for a floor stand. At least from what I saw thay all seem to have quality and durability issues also. These are on the edge of being too lightweight, imho. I get that weight matters if you’re taking them with you on your bike, but the plastic just feels a little cheap, for the price. That said, they were strong enough to support the weight of my bike without problems, but I’ve only used them once. Time will tell if they’ll hold up to the test of time. At the end of the day, I was able to invert my bike safely so I could clean the chain and gears, and I’m glad I didn’t spend significantly more money on a bike stand. For what I need, these did the job just fine. I’m knocking a half star off for the slightly cheap feeling plastic given the price, but the engineering and functionality of these jacks is 5 star. I’m glad I bought them, assuming they hold up for years of use without breaking.

Original Handlebar Jacks for e-bikes – review
Very disappointed. No stars at all. Bought them to use on a Cube Kathmandu tourer, which is a fairly ‘substantial piece of kit. These jacks, although a great idea, are woefully inadequate, not robust enough to support the weight of an e-bike in a stable fashion, certainly not suitable for a Kathmandu. On turning bike upside down, jacks collapsed immediately, twisting around handlebars because Velcro fastenings could not be adequately tightened to prevent twisting and slippage. Ended up trying to support weight of bike whilst upside down with one hand, whilst trying to reposition both jacks and rethread Velcro through the strap buckles and re-tension them with the other. Not suitable for my e-bike, though advertised that they would be. Constructed of totally inadequate, lightweight plastic which isnt robust enough to support the weight of my bike, and there is not enough spread in the tripod legs available to establish a stable supporting position. Not cheap to buy either. Overall, Not fit for purpose for holding e-bike handlebars in a stable enough position high enough to protect electronic controls from damage. More suited to a much lighter bike I would have thought.

Quality little jack that support an ebike like a charm. Keeping the valued electronics and finish from enduring any harm! While small in stature and seemingly frail, they held the weight without fracture. Ideal for those do-it-yourselfers who maintain their own bike, they are of such quality they could probably support a trike. Highly recommend these compact jacks and will likely spend years in my tire+changing pack
