High quality and well thought out.Pro: Sturdy, cantilevered design is compact and solidly holds an iPad or similar sized tablet, neatly, and elegantly.Pro: Works great with the Tacx app and any other app optimized for landscape orientation.Con: Not really designed to hold a full-size tablet in portrait orientation, which isn’t really needed for most things, but if you wanted portrait, be forewarned. The issue is that the adjustment for the top holders has a very limited range of motion — it doesn’t go tall enough for a full-size tablet.Caveat: It is possible to use the tablet in portrait orientation with only the lower lower holders moved toward the center, then merely rest the tablet on the upper tabs, though it is less secure when used that way.Con: There are a lot of different parts to choose from for fitting your handlebars just right, based on the diameter of your bars.Caveat: Once you get past the initial setup, it does fit well and fixes firmly to the bike, which is particularly firm because of the cantilever support from under the stem.Con: I was afraid that the hard plastic pieces might scuff my high-end carbon handlebars/stem.Caveat: I took the liberty of taping my components where the bracket contacts my handlebar and stem. Felt lining on the plastic pieces and a short felt tube for the cantilever support bar would easily fix this, but as of yet YMMV.Con: If you have an overly large stem, the cantilever support might not fit. Tacx only provides one cantilever support bar to choose from, so it either fits or it doesn’t.Caveat: I adapted a custom / home-made part for mine, and have contacted Tacx for alternatives, but as of yet there is no official solution if your stem is too large at the handlebar end.Con: If your tablet is wider than an iPad in landscape mode, it might not fit. I would consider this a perfect iPad mount, but for a full-size Android mount, YMMV.Caveat: If you have a full-size Android tablet, you’d better check specs and contact Tacx if you are unsure it will fit even in landscape orientation.I know, I listed a lot of cons and caveats, but for my purposes for riding with the Tacx app on iPad, it REALLY works GREAT!I will update my review and may change the star rating, based on the response from Tacx…I wish I could give it 5 stars, because I am VERY happy with how my improvised cantilever support turned out, but it shouldn’t have been necessary to fabricate my own part; hence 4 stars.

Functional and Sturdy
This product works great! I like that it keeps the iPad out and away from you, and also elevated. I don’t have to look straight down as I’m watching a video and I don’t pour sweat all over it, either. My iPad has a protective case on it and it still fits in there perfectly (hint: don’t put in the 4 rubber stabilizers and your iPad will fit in there snugly with it’s cover still on). I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the bow-shaped piece that fits on the underside of the unit and supports the weight of the iPad. As long as you’re not putting a masonry brick up there the support should be plenty strong. Great product!

A Very Disappointing Product
This product has so much potential, but they didn’t take it to the finish line.The Good:1. Holds a tablet, as advertised.The Bad:1. The handlebar grips do absolutely nothing. Although they provide 3 inserts of different sizes for different bar diameters, the material is stiff plastic, so the product swivels forward and backward with no resistance despite the spring tension. The only thing that keeps the unit in place is a small “U” bracket that gets trapped under your stem (not shown in product photo). Without that bracket, this duck couldn’t fly.2. The height and width adjusters are literally a screw knob and detents. That means your tablet isn’t automatically centered, so you have to spend some time messing with it. It would have been much nicer if these had been gear knobs that moved the arms in and out so they centered automatically. Also, there is no retainer, so if you over-loosen and drop a piece, you are screwed.3. There is no adjustment for the Z axis, so if your tablet has a case (don’t most people put them in cases these days?), you will have to remove it from the case in order to insert it into the brackets. This could SO EASILY have been resolved in design that it’s unforgivable in a product at this price point, especially from a top end manufacturer like Tacx.4. The bottle holder portion is less than half the length of a regular 24 ounce bike bottle. That means after the first few sips, the bottom will be heavier than the top, and bottle just flips upside down onto the floor. This can be resolved by using smaller bottles, but seriously… why??5. If you use a stem-mounted computer, you won’t be able to use the bottle holder at all. Or rather, you’ll be able to use it, but won’t be able to see your computer, so if that’s a concern for you… now you know.6. In the parts bag, you’ll find 4 grey pads to install on the arms. These touch the back of the tablet. The front of the arms, however, is hard plastic with no padding whatsoever. Yep. The glass part of your tablet goes right against the hardest plastic pieces of this device.This product had so much promise, but really, they have taken a $2 product and sold it for $40. This is a piece of crap, undeserving of the Tacx name. Yes, it holds a tablet, but that’s about all it has going for it. Complete rip off, not recommended.

Super Erweiterung zum Rollentrainer
Ich habe mir vor kurzer Zeit einen Tacx Rollentrainer gekauft und habe erstmal ohne diese Halterung das Produkt getestet, da ich allerdings keinen TV in dem Raum habe und ich gerne YouTube Videos etc. schaue und auch den Trainer über das Tablet steuere fand ich beim Hersteller diesen Artikel zum befestigen seines Tablets am Lenker.Ich nutze es für ein iPad Pro 10,5″ und es passt perfekt in die Halterung, auch mit einer kleinen Hülle drum herum sitzt es gut.Die Montage ist sehr einfach und geht ohne Werkzeug, man muss lediglich die Gummi Halbschalen auf den Lenker anpassen, diese werden einfach in die Halterung gesteckt und es sind verschiedene Größen dabei.Dann hält man die Halterung an den Lenker, betätigt den Hebel und klemmt somit die Halterung ohne Werkzeug. Zur Sicherheit ist dann noch ein kleiner Bügel dabei der als Sicherung dient damit die Halterung nicht kippen kann. Diese wird auch nur eingehängt, also eigentlich ist das Produkt perfekt durchdacht und auch von der Verarbeitung her super.In die Halbschale oben kann man zudem noch eine kleine 0,5L bzw. 0,75L Flasche ablegen, dies ist auch sehr gut gelöst da sie auf einer angenehmen Höhe liegt.Ich hoffe ich konnte etwas helfen und würde mich über ein “like” freuen. RECのガーミンとキャットアイライトブラケットを装備しているので自己責任で当たっている部分を削り装着ガーミン同時使用は構造上無理です。固定ローラーなので激しいダンシングはしないので今のところ問題無しハンドルにいろんなブラケットを着けている方は床置きタイプを検討した方が良いと思います。価格はハンドル取り付けタイプより5000円程高くなります。

Parfait pour ma tablette sur mon home-trainer
J’ai cherché longtemps sur internet le support idéal pour ma tablette sur mon home-trainer connecté afin de visionner des vidéos de coaching. Il fallait qu’il soit assez solide et stable pour que je puisse toucher mon écran sans que le support penche, qu’il soit adaptable pour mon tel portable, et modifiable en mode portrait / paysage, que la position soit assez reculée pour un bon visionnage et que je puisse voir l’écran en danseuse. Et ce modèle rassemble tous ces critères, de plus il est de bonne qualité. Je suis très satisfaite.Bon il est un peu cher mais ça vaut le coup.

Great Handlebar “Landscape Mode” tablet mount
The main description does not claim it can hold an 11.2 inch Ipad in the “verticle mode”, nor does it tell you that this wonderful, unique, TacX mount can’t hold an 11.2 inch Ipad in upright position. This well built device can only hold larger tablets in the “landscape” mode. Look at the photo #3, the unreadable dimensions are actually annotated. I just assumed, giving the photo of this mount with an Ipad that it would hold it regardless of orientation. This is on me because the product is fantastic.

5 YEARS OF SERVICE AND STILL PERFORMING
After five years of use, this iPad mount continues to impress. Its quick-release design makes mounting effortless, and the secure grip has never failed. Remarkably, it’s outlived the tablet it was built to support. The only downside is it will not old the newer 13″ iPad.

Exactly what I needed and wanted
I was a little apprehensive about placing this order after reading some of the reviews, but I’m grad I took the chance. So far it works great. I use my retired 2004 Trek 5200 as an in-home trainer. This mount attached without any problems. It came with several adapters for various handle bar diameters. Mine required the medium size. I have an old Samsung 8″ tablet I use for running Rouvy, it fits securely in the adjustable frame. I was able to adjust the tilt exactly where I wanted it. The little tray is perfect for holding my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone. I’m glad I made the purchase. I have no complaints.

Unique product but not worth the money
I rate products based on their intended use, cost of product, quality of product, and if needed, the customer support.The TACX Handlebar brace is a very unique product in that it allows the user to hold an iPad in landscape mode using only the handlebar and stem. 3 adjustment knobs allow the clamps to grab onto your iPad and are relatively easy to adjust on the fly. The water bottle slot in the middle is pretty useless if you’re already on a bicycle with water bottle cages, though it does make for a handy compartment to keep your iPhone, TV remote, or to drape a towel over if needed.Now here are some things to look out for. While the clamps do hold the iPad securely in place, the brace/plastic clamps that connect to your bike’s handlebar/stem are rather flimsy. What you don’t see as clearly in these pictures is how this brace actually supports the weight of the iPad. Look closely at the product image and you’ll notice that the clamps themselves are simply spring loaded plastic pieces. These are designed to hold onto the handlebars, but are not intended to “grip” the bars to prevent slide or twisting. The weight of the entire brace is in fact supported by a small piece of plastic shaped like a bow that goes underneath your stem and connects the two black plastic as seen in my uploaded picture. This bow shaped plastic centers the brace to your stem and holds everything up.Based on this design, the brace can still be accidentally pulled or bumped upward towards the rider (rare, but annoying when it happens). By biggest gripe though is in this weak plastic bow. You’ll notice that if you tap on the iPad or rest any weight on the iPad while riding, the plastic piece will flex and it will give out and pop out of the side slots allowing your entire brace to drop and spin forward. The two large C clamps should prevent your iPad from hitting the floor, but you’ll need to dismount and re-install the plastic bow in order to set the brace up properly again. This doesn’t take long, but its a pretty irritating weakness in design considering the cost of brace.Lastly, if you have any other mounts on you handlebar like GoPro camera mounts, Garmin computer, lights etc… you’ll need to remove them if they are within 1.5″ from the stem on each side because the C clamps on this brace require a flat service on the bars.All in all I think the product is good but not worth $50 IMO and the cheap plastic bow that supports my $500 iPad is very disappointing. Oh and I almost forgot, this will not allow you to mount your iPad in portrait mode (securely). I’ve since changed to a heavy duty music stand with a gooseneck and have not looked back.
