    Bought them hoping to increase stopping power over the very old brake pads I had on some Cane Creek 200SL brake calipers. Cannot say there was any significant improvement. So in this particular scenario, I don’t the premium price is justified over a more moderately price pad.

    SwissStop itself was a great help when I contacted them concerning my problem

    I could not use these pads in my 1990 Shimano Exage Motion calipers (1990 Schwinn Worldsport). The threaded barrel was too large in diameter to fit in the slot in the calipers. Ultimately, I had to return these and get Shimano Ultegras. However, now that I have the Ultegra shoes which fit my calipers, when it’s time for pads, I will get the SwissStop ones. (The original Shimano shoes had threads integral to the shoes themselves, making it impossible to replace only the pads.)I will say that the quality of these is apparent in the package, though I have no experience actually braking with them. SwissStop itself was a great help when I contacted them concerning my problem, but did not have a better solution for me.

    Good product, garbled description

    Installed the black pads on my commute bike and so far they are excellent. Very powerful in the wet compared to Shimano pads, so so in the dry, too early to say if they are as gentle on rims as SwissStop claim.While the product is fine the description here seems to be garbled nonsense, and the pads certainly don’t fit “all bikes”. I recommend checking out the sales literature on the SwissStop website to ensure you get the model and type of pad you need. Amazon list pads as “yellow” and “black*, more important than the colour is that these are different kinds of compound for different kinds of wheel!

    Hace unos años que tengo una Brompton, es una bicicleta inigualable para la ciudad pero, comparado con una bici de carretera o una de montaña con frenos de disco, no frenaba gran cosa, la verdad.Compré estas zapatas de freno para sustituir las gastadas y me han sorprendido muchísimo. Frenan mucho más que las de fábrica y son mucho más progresivas, mejoran muchísimo el tacto y la capacidad de frenada de la brompton.Para mi, solucionan la única pega que le ponía a mi bici, ha pasado de frenar lo justo a frenar bien.

    Improvement from Simano Sora Brake Pads

    My bike had Sora groupset including brakes. Replaced with these brake cartridge and pads, noticed it brakes harder and full stop in shorter distance!

    *Title is misleading, this is for aluminum wheels!* (Had to go into SwissStop’s official website to find the information on which pad is for which type of wheels.)Purchased this to replace a set of no brand name brake pads. Stopping power is slightly improved, quality is good, able to replace just the braking material instead of the whole assembly now.
