I got one of these fat tire unicycles a few years ago and bought a second one last June as a spare. I ride a lot and am hard on them I go off curbs and I weight 230 lbs. so far these have held up vary well the cranks are still solid and tight. the seat stitching is good and the hand hold seat guard helps when hopping or pogoing . these things go good across lawns and packed or wet sand but the tire will sink in fluff or loose sand and I have gone from riding to flying . when riding on flat surfaces like side walks it rides well . when riding on tilted or cambered surfaces like beaches or the side of some roads you have to horse it to maintain a straight line. on the crown of the road it rides well. the tire has good flotation but traction not so good on hard sandy surfaces the tire can slip when making sharp turns. my grand daughters are ten and they are learning to ride on one of these. I think it is a little harder to learn on but the novelty of the fat tire reinforces their determination and they are not interested in learning on one of my standard unicycles. style is everything.

At 75″ and 230lbs I was worried it might be too small, but it isn’t. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone taller. This is my first unicycle, and with about five hours of practice I can make it across a small flat parking lot. I’m not sure if the big tire is a help or not, but I feel like it makes it slightly more stable. The saddle comes with the plastic guards that get scuffed up from hitting the pavement. I’m glad they’re there. It a lot of fun and good exercise!
