Scope of Application: The Freewheel remover is designed to remove the 4-notches freewheels from BMX
Precautions for Use: Always hold the remover secure to the hub using axle nut or quick release skewer. Thin wall construction allows use without removing the cone and lock nut. Also removes single speed bikes using the standard 1.37 x 24 tpi hub threading
Material: heat-treated alloy tool steel construction, high hardness, CNC fine machining, plating treatment is not easy to rust, long service life
Dimensions: 4 notch with an inside diameter of approximately 32 mm and an outside diameter of approximately 40 mm. Shaft clearance center bore is 16 mm
To be used with: 1 inch hex base can be used with M24 sockets, wrenches or bench vise

Works on sole
Works well. I used it to remove the free wheel on my sole bike. I took ooff the little nut that holds the inner hub to hold down this tool. Despite the sole being 8 nooks this worked fine

So far so good.
Product works as intended. The prongs could sit a little bit deeper in the freewheel but using the nut and washer to hold the remover to the freewheel works fine. Make sure you use some white lithium grease to aid in ease of removal.

Well made from good steel, precise machining.
It’s steel! I was worried it may be made from aluminum but it is in fact steel. Aluminum is a softer material than steel and some of those old school 16t freewheels are really stubborn to get off…. The description mentions “alloy” a couple of times so I was worried it might be aluminum.Well made and machined, fits a standard 3/8 drive ratchet. Good price, good tool. Recommend! 👍

Right tool for the job.
Worked like a charm…an absolute life saver. I was relacing a rear wheel and could not remove the right side spokes unless I removed the freewheel. This puller tool made it easier than chiseling it off and damaging something.

Good Sturdy Deal for a commonly used tool
Another practical tool for my bike toolbox. I appreciate that the sprocket puller doesn’t have a thick coating that often chips off. The tool is well-machined on CNC and is suitable for BMX or single-speed bikes with 4 notches.A 24mm wrench or bench vise can be used to loosen it. definitely steel and not aluminum for those that were wondering.

Decent tool, pricey for such a simple tool
I love being able to do my own bike repairs at home. That requires owning very specialized tools in order to remove or tighten specific parts and freewheels are exactly one of those kinds of parts. Considering the wear and tear they put up with, being able to replace the freewheel (or replace the bearings, if you’re into that sort of thing) requires this specialized tool. At roughly CAD$20 at time of testing, this simple part is a little on the pricier side. While the dimensions are good and the product works well, the finish is painted on and scratches easily. I did notice a bit of rounding, but the nature of the tool is such that that won’t necessarily impact its usefulness, but it’s something to be aware of when factoring in the price.I was able to successfully use the tool to remove the freewheel from my classic 24″ GT BMX but it cost more than the adjustable spanner I used to do so.
