Works just fine – but needs to be installed on your BBT-9 first. Tap it in with a plastic hammer. No need to file it as it is meant to be a tight fit – this tight fit ensures that the BBT-9 provides the support/re-inforcement needed when the adapter needs to fully engage the bottom bracket bearing.If you will be frequently removing this adapter from the BBT-9 you may want to purchase the tool specific for your bottom bracket instead of this adapter.

Make sure it’s fully seated!
Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Takes some force to get the adapter on the wrench so don’t expect this to be a temporary thing. Once it’s installed, it’s solidly attached. Make sure the adapter is fully seated on the BB, otherwise the teeth on the adapter might slip!

Overpriced for what it is
Does the job, but does not seem very rugged. Probably good for only 3-4 bracket removals and installs. Made of plastic that rounds easily if not exactly aligned, but is also difficult to fit onto the bottom bracket ridges squarely. Do yourself a favor and get the machines tool that has both bracket sizes–one on each end. This one is ridiculously overpriced for the cheaply made, limited-use-life pos that it is. Just to be clear, it DOES work. It is just not a quality tool.

Fait ce qu’on lui demande, mais il ne faut pas non plus trop en demander. Le produit étant en plastique, il est légèrement fragile est est déjà assez usé après la première utilisation.Après, étant ma première utilisation d’un tel adaptateur, il est également probable que j’ai un poil forcé dessus. Ce commentaire est donc à prendre avec des pincettes.

Adapter für die meine Hollowtech II Nuss
Das neue Lager das ich gekauft hatte ist schmaler als die eigentlichen Lager und somit mußte ein Adapter her für die Nuss. Der positive Nebeneffekt, da es aus Plastik ist zerkratzt die Nuss nun nicht mehr beim Anziehen.Also ich bin zufrieden, zumal es ja eine echt preiswerte Alternative gegenüber einen neuen Werkzeug ist.Das Lager auf dass dieser Adapter passt war ein SHIMANO Innenlager Hollowech II IBBMT800.

It does fit if you look carefully
There is only one way to insert the plastic ring onto the metal wrench without jamming it on. It is very hard to see, Shimano should have made it clearer. On the plastic ring there are 2 arrows pointing towards each other. The notch at the tip of each arrow is slightly larger than all the other notches. The teeth at the end of each arm of the wrench fit into these notches. One star to Shimano for all wasted time and frustration.
