Wish I had bought them sooner
These are an upgrade to the original SORA shifters that came with my bike. They have made three noticeable changes: They eliminated the useless plastic gear indicators on the top of the hoods, rerouted the cables so both the brake and derailleur cables are under the bar tape, and changed from a thumb trigger to a more streamlined finger control tucked in behind the brake lever. All of these changes are improvements in form and function. The shifting is very clean and much better than before. The only thing that kept me from giving this five stars is an annoying rattle from the left-hand shifter (front derailleur). Overall, a big improvement.

They are the perfect replacement for my Shimano Tiagra STI 9X3 shifter/brake levers
The levers come with the cables, so that saved the additional expense. The shifter cables were already installed in the shifters, making that step easier. I have ridden with them a few times. Shifting was smooth and precise. They are a suitable replacement for the Tiagra set they replaced

Sora is not the lowest tier group set for Shimano, but it is a nice upgrade from bar end shifters. While I am used to Ultegra and Dura Ace products, Sora filled the bill nicely for my touring rig. I get more braking leverage than I had, and I get clean, crisp, indexed shifting.There was a problem with the left hand shifter not shifting through all the gears. I brought this to the attention of the seller, and after I tried unsuccessfully to correct the issue myself, the sellers got a new shift lever to me in very good time. So, good product, great service and a smooth running bicycle. Makes for a happy camper!

A very nice Shimano kit. As others have said, it comes with the shifter and brake cables and housings. The shifters have the shifter cables already threaded, and there is a precut derailleur cable housing. You’ll want a pair of cable/housing cutters to customize for your particular frame…but I am very pleased.

After about a dozen tries I finally got the front derailleur dialed in with the new brifter. Wish it could throw a bit more. As it is there is zero tolerance.

Used these to spruce up an old 90’s trekking bike to use as a commuter. They work great with the cantilever brakes and old deore XT derauilers that were on the bike. They also came with plenty of brake cable housing and pre-cut shifter cable housing which was a nice surprise. Was also very impressed by the brake/shift feel of these. Feels a lot like my much more expensive 105 group.
