    This is a initial review product came in looks great adapter for screwing cups on fits into park tool and works well install was easy and fit my Italian thread set up well got the bbr60 ultegra bottom bracket seems to ride smooth after 10 mile test ride tight and no creek in I will try to update .

    Don’t listen to the old stories about Sora

    I’ve been a cyclist for decades. The bike I put the cranks on is a 9-speed with Tiagra cranks. I needed cranks that went with the Hollowtech II bottom bracket so despite all the old stories about the Sora and Tiagra group sets, I got the Sora. Keeping in mind that the bike shop that sold me my Specialized Dolce in 2010 told me that the Sora was garbage and the Tiagra was a little better, and keeping in mind that this supposedly not great Tiagra crankset must have had 100,000 miles on it before I replaced it, I would say it held up better than expected of any crank set. I was noticing a slight skipping while I pedaled so I took the crank off and saw that the splines were a little bit stripped. So I got the Sora. It rides just like my Tiagra did when it was new. It is far from garbage. Someone told me that the Tiagra became the 105 group set, which is easy to believe because they don’t make it anymore. I could have gone on eBay and gotten a used ultegra but the whole purpose of me getting a new crankset was because the original crankset was beat. The Sora is far from garbage. If you need a 9-speed crank set just get it.
