    Works for shimano / deore calipers

    I didn’t realize that this type of adapter of different brands but the same mm specification (203) are not the same. I have a shimano/deore caliper, but the avid adapter I was using wasn’t quite right, setting the caliper a bit too far out. This one puts it in the right spot.

    Quick shipping on a Shimano part that seems scarce. Came with all the screws and “Keeper Caps” for the screws. Definitely recommend both product and seller.

    I have an older Cannondale Raven (from 2001) that uses CODA disc brakes, for which parts are not even made any more. This year, I decided to bring the bike up to modern specs with carbon rims, Onyx quiet hubs, tubeless tires, and modern disc brakes (in this case, Shimano four-piston XTR 9120). Sadly, my mint-condition Cannondale uses the ole’ International Standard 50 mm disc mounting standard while the Shimano brakes require post-mounts. So, I had to order one MA-F180P/S for the front and one MA-R180P/S for the rear. Installation was easy and these adaptors do come with the bolts needed to secure them to the frame. Once set up and torqued properly, no problems at all. The Shimano XTRs work great. (The adapter is painted red to match the frame in included pic.)

    Works as advertised

    Upgraded my Motiv tandem from 160mm discs to 203mm discs. This part fit the IS-type mounts provided on the frame. Adapter is much wider than the one it replaced but fit nicely with a small gap between it and the new disc. Note: with IS mounts (2 holes drilled parallel to the wheel axles) you must specify whether front or rear brake
