I really love the smooth quiet shifting this product provides, it’s almost like a brand new bicycle. I purchased this derailer, the matching m50 cassette and chain. My schwinn axum runs as smooth as butter. Bought this to convert my 3×8 to a 1×10. This is the best I’ve ever experienced. The micro shifting is smooth and crisp. At times you can’t even hear the derailleur making the change. Shimano nailed it on this one. Great job.

Broke going up a hill, but might be a fluke?
This derailleur worked great for a week or so, but unfortunately snapped while shifting gears going up a decently steep hill. Was rather disappointed since I had it tuned up and everything properly as well. Had to bring the bike back to the shop to get it repaired because I was 15 miles from home and had to fix it enough to get back at the expense of my frame and spokes on my back wheel. Was really disappointed that night and I honestly still am. A shame since it really worked well for that first week.
