My last chain has lasted about 15k, and still has 50% life, according to the stretch tool. Will keep that as back up. Your riding habits may vary! I always try to shift when under light power, not during hard acceleration! Plus, I regularly keep my chain clean, waxed, or lubed.

Don’t buy unless you want a fake Shimano Chain.
This is a fake chain and not authentic Shimano. I paid a little less than what a real Shimano chain would cost and now I regret it. What a piece of @r@p! I found out that chains are the most faked product around. Be careful folks. You can tell the real thing from the fake through the packaging. Real Shimano chains have the check mark done by hand on the packaging and not by a machine.

8/2023- purchased again from this vendor. Received in same package but the chain was not the same as before. No hollow pins, no pre-lube, but has same markings (viva, 901..) on the chain. Returned and not going to be repeating customer anymoreFor the price of $52.90, I had doubts – is it a knock-off, bait-and-switch, refurb…Pleasantly surprise to receive the real deal. The box stated “Made in Japan” – hope that it was but all appeared to be as advertised. Original box, HG901 stamped on the chain, quick-link, and instruction pamphlet – as legit as it get.3-stars for “easy to install” because I was not able to get the quicklink to snap in-place. Ended up running to the LBS to get SRAM quicklink (another $4).Overall, satisfied with the product and will buy again in another 2000 miles

Alcune recensioni mi avevano fatto temere non fosse originale o fosse il modello base (601-11). Invece è tutto davvero troppo ottimo per essere un fake, molto ben confezionato, la catena come spero si vede in foto è il modello descritto, il prezzo assolutamente ottimo. Come già detto da qualcuno, bisogna prestare attenzione a seguire le corrette direzioni dei versi della catena e del Quick Link, esattamente come descritto sulla plastica trasparente in foto e nelle illustrazioni (alla mia età ci vuogliono gli occhiali o fare una foto col cellulare da ingrandire, per vedere le scritte molto piccole sulla catena e capire se montata correttamente). Consiglio acquisto per chi cerca proprio questa catena, top di gamma ad un prezzo eccezionale.
