Heavy but for the price, worth it to get extended range
A little on the heavy side, but it works for what it is and 1/4 of the price of the lighter models.Added it to my cyclocross bike, using Shimano Ultegra RD-6800 and a goatlink ([…]). Shifts through all the gears smoothly and I now can take my bike off-road on steep hills and still access all the gears to ride fast during ascents.

Shifting is still good even with the larger jumps between the 27,31,35 and 40T sprockets
Good value for a large cassette. I used a Wolf Tooth Roadlink and a long cage Shimano Ultegra derailleur to accommodate the 35 and 40 teeth sprockets. Now I can climb up extended 15-20% grades in my area sitting in the saddle at ~70 rpm instead od grunting at 40 rpm with my old 28T max set-up.

Installed on 2015 Niner RLT9 9. I paired this with a 42T chainring and a GRX mech derailleur and have an awesome setup that climbs nearly anything. Spin out above 29 mph-fine for me.Install was a breeze.

Front chainring stage
At first I bought Shimano XT M8000 11-Speed 11-46, when it was delivered, I found it as front chainring 1 stage in the box. I has used 3 stages chainring in my bike. I requestes to refund it immediately. And then I bought new 1/2/3 11-40 again in Amazon. Last weekend I went to the South province to enjoy Bike Touring with our Team, I satisfied the feeling of shift on the hill.

great granny gear option for 11spd
Shimano quality. That 40t bail out gear works great for big hills, goes well with Wolftooth RD extender. The bigger gaps between some cogs is not noticeable at all. There’s no negative going from 11-30 to 11-40.
