Ex-BMX racer: Excellent Beautiful STIFF V-Ridge Cranks
These V-Ridge cranks are excellent! They feel so much more stiff (cranks generally flex a little when ridden hard) than my Black Ops three piece cranks did, although they both have the same weight: 11.2 oz, for the non drive side arm. I like how the bolts look chrome, which adds to the beauty of these awesome chrome chromoly cranks.Take it from me, an ex-BMX racer who shreds jumps, MTB trails and shreds in the street, these cranks are excellent.The crankset is SE’s version of Flight Cranks and Profile cranks, and having owned and raced on those top-quality cranks, I really feel that SE made a crank of a similar quality and look.Also chrome cranks are an indication of a clued-in rider with experience, as chrome will not wear off, even if you ride hard on the cranks for years and we all hate having expensive cranks that look crappy, because the enamel or the powdercoat wore off after a matter of months or after a single wet winter of hardcore riding. Yes, chrome cranks make a rider look knowledgeable and they make (and keep) your bike look good.Additionally take note that the crank set comes with a 19mm, 8 spline, cold forged, spindle which is not pictured in this listing, and all of the needed bolts.The only thing that I don’t like about these cranks is the fact that the stamped logo on the outside of the crank arms reads “SE Bikes” instead of “SE Racing”, which is the original name of the company.In summation, if you buy these cranks, you have made an excellent purchase of a high-quality piece of gear, suitable for experts, from a company with a long history of making high quality gear for BMX racing and general baddassery on bicycles.

Low quality and no support
I futzed with these for way too long. I tried two spiders (both Phil Wood) with two different adapters and one 19mm redline sprocket. They all had around a ten mm wobble from side to side in the same location. The mating surface for the spider is definitely not flat. I contacted SE but they were disinterested in warrantying their product because I did not purchase it directly from them. This is disappointing because I’ve always liked SE. I’ve been running Landing Gear forks since around the time they were introduced. I purchased a different brand and there is zero wobble.
