Overpriced and poorly designed gimmick product
Please don’t waste your money or time on this product. Initially it works as advertised. But the problems show up after one to two weeks, depending on how much you ride. The valve starts to become clogged with sealant and it is harder to force air into the tire. But the real issue occurs when you go to add more sealant through the valve. It simply does not work because the inner part of the valve has become so clogged with sealant. I could only add a few drops of fresh sealant despite trying multiple techniques. There is no way to clear it except opening the tire and removing the valve to clean it manually.Always, you have to either break the seal on the tube and poor sealant in or open the tire and remove the valve and then clean it in order to get new sealant to flow through the valve. This has to be done frequently. I never had this problem with regular Presta valves with removeable cores. I just bought a bag of spare cores and would replace the core every time I added sealant. It was cost effective and worked well. You can get a bag of cores with a core removal tube for $10 on Amazon and they will last a long time.This is a poorly designed rip off product being sold for a ridiculous price. They try to convince you that it will make your life easier but it just makes it more difficult. Stick with regular and good quality Presta valves with removable cores and don’t waste your money on this snake oil trash.

Solid idea, troubled execution
I used these valves for quite some time without trouble, but in my personal experience long-term use exposed some challenges that are having me looking elsewhere. YMMV –1. I found using these to inject sealant or replenisher (I use Silca) to be problematic. As others have noted you’re supposed to use gravity and the right size TPU tubing, but I found it to be unacceptably fiddly to do this and by the end just always popped the tire bead. So much for the primary selling point of this product.2. This is probably user error, but when I inevitably got sealant around the threads of the lock ring, it became impossible to remove the valves as the ring got stuck in the threads. Do your best to keep absolutely *everything* out of the threads, especially sealant. I damaged a valve while removing a stuck ring because of this issue.

Makes tubeless setup a breeze
I could not believe how effortless it was to seat a tubeless tire with the Fillmore valves. Previously the process involved using a pressurized cannister and soapy spray around the bead. More often than not, the process was unsuccessful and I ending up going to the LBS and using their powered pump. After installing the tire, it was just a standard pumping process to seat them. When I went to put on the second tire, I actually timed the process and it required 12 minutes from the time I started to install the new tire until sealant was added and these were inflated to 50 psi. These are costly, but for me the time saved more than made up for the additional $30 cost over standard valves. One additional note. In order to add sealant via the valve, you need to have a tube that inserts over the valve. I had a small Orange sealant applicator bottle which worked perfectly. I carry 2 oz of sealant in my seat bag and I actually cut the Orange applicator tube in 1/2 and took a small piece with me for emergency road applications.

Maybe worth the extra cash
First time setting up tubeless. The valves hold pressure well on my 9velo 44mm rims. Had to go to the longer valves to make it fit. I’ve had these on for a month and a half and so far no issues, I will say they do throw off the balance of your wheel if you are into that sort of thing but to me, it’s not a big deal, but you can notice easily when spinning the wheel freely. No issues with clogging so far. This is a limited data point though.

Now that these valves are available in different lengths, I have been replacing all my tubeless setups with them as tires wear out and need replacement. They don’t clog. They make it easier to seat tires. And they are now comparable in price to a well machined regular presta valve (that clogs and wears out). Why use anything else?
