    A fine derailleur, but mind the pull ratio

    No complaints with the Tiagra 4700 series drive train, which we have on a couple of our bikes. Just be aware that the indexing ratio is akin to that of its 11-speed cousins in the 105 and Ultegra lines, so it’s not backward-compatible with older 10-speed Shimano shifters.

    Tremendous value

    The entire Tiagra 4700 Groupset is very good. I’m running 3 bikes with it. I’ve had Dura-Ace, Ultegra,&105 in the last 20 years, and Shimano has shared much of the high end tech with the Current Tiagra offerings.you won’t be dissapointed. Don’t think of the older Tiagra, this is good stuff.

    Quality for the Price

    It’s basically a 105 body with a stamped steel cage and the 105 is basically a copy of the Ultegra… which is basically a copy of Dura Ace. Using it with a KMC 10-speed chain with no issues.

    Not compatible with 105 or Ultegra 10 speed

    I was misled by a comment into thinking this could replace an Ultegra 10 speed derailleur that failed. In fact, it has a different cable pull ratio than Dur-ace/Ultegra/105 and is only compatible with a Tiagra shifter. Otherwise, it appears to work fine. Star reduction for the inaccurate description; if you’re replacing a Tiagra part, it should be fine.

    Nice Genuine Deraileur. New in Box. Colors match my black and silver bike. Compatible with Shimano Cassettes and Microshift 10 speed flat bar shifters. My summer bike project is coming along nicely. Will report back if there are any issues.
