The tool works like a charm and is made of metal and will last forever, BUT THIS TOOL IS FOR AN AR-10 NOT AR-15 AND THE AMAZON DESCRIPTION DOES NOT MENTION THAT. THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR A AR-15!!!!!

I bought this and it works great. My only surprise was to learn it is intended for use with the larger AR 10 platform.

Sorely disappointed!
This product arrived USED and BENT! No kidding. The manufacture packaging from REAL AVID is pretty heavy duty for most of their products. Within the Amazon bag packaging I could hear clanking as I walked into the house. Strange. Upon opening it, I found the two parts of this tool separate from one another and the manufacture packaging. The hard plastic shell had been cut open on the side. Who sells something used and bent as “new”???

Add “AR-10” to the description
Great tool, but I searched for an AR-15 tool and this came up. I didn’t find out until it was delivered that it only works on AR-10 lowers. It doesn’t say that in the description.

A true necessity for gunsmithing on ARs
If you build AR style rifles, you NEED this little tool. It is absolutely the best takedown pin spring installer I have ever used. The two pieces screw together for storage so you don’t have to worry about losing one.

Bad Fitment
This product does not work properly for Aero Precision AR10 pivot pin installation. It is slightly too short for the installation holes to line up. Otherwise it would probably work.

Works for PSA PA-10
Works perfectly for Palmetto State Armory PA-10 lower. I tried to get this pin in by hand for over an hour with no luck. Looked up a tool and this one came up. I wasn’t sure if it would work for the PSA PA-10 because so many AR-10 platforms are different. But it lines up perfectly. I was able to install the pin in seconds. I’ll probably never use the tool again but it was still worth the money for me.
