Race Face trimmed all excessive weight from the X-Type Bottom Bracket and then doubled the bearing count to provide a smooth feel on every pedal stroke. Internal tapered sidewalls and light 7050 aluminum reduce the gram count, and Race Face used fully sealed bearings for extra long life. You can also use this bottom bracket with Shimano and FSA crank sets.

Foundation of a Great Ride
No creaking or misalignment issues. On the occasional maintenance rounds, no water incursion or rust from previous inundation. The seals are sound.Perfect replacement for a Shimano Ghost.Using a RaceFace Aeffect crank set with it on a singlespeed Kona Unit.

easy to install, great quality, put them on a free hard tail MTB and the difference is very noticeable (with race face cranks and single chain ring). Super lightweight.

Avrei preso l’ultimo BB, ma non lo volevo nero. (lo fanno solo nero)Questo è del tipo ancora con le calotte di Ø maggiore. Purtroppo non ho ancora avuto modo di provarlo su strada, ma già montandolo se ne apprezza la scorrevolezza.La cosa che consiglio a chi si appresta all’acquisto, è quella di dotarsi della chiave a tazza, io ho scelto quella descritta nel link allegato, inoltre la mia dinamometrica non supporta questo valore di serraggio (35 ÷ 50 Nm) così ho utilizzato un morsetto (tipo quelli di falegname, con le ganasce in plastica) fermando la chiave a tazza tra le due calotte, eseguendo il serraggio con la chiave a stella da 24mm. Questo permette di tirare bene con forza e soprattutto di non strapazzare le calotte, dato che la chiave a tazza si potrebbe sganciare facilmente danneggiando di conseguenza le calotte. Il lavoretto è venuto perfetto. La bici è una MTB Marin vintage che ha il canotto da 68mm. (Questo movimento è BSA con filettature Dx e Sx ) Quindi due spessori a dx e uno a sxcome da istruzioni.
