Bought them cause I’ve got red pedals so I wanted a little bit of bike bling. Nice though, and they’ll extend the life of your cranks – replacing bent cranks is not cheap.

Protect your tip
Made for RF cranks but fit on Shimano cranks too. This fit my basic Deore cranks snugly. They needed just a bit of heat to push on. SLX and XT cranks should fit the exact same. The hole isn’t perfectly lined up, so you’ll need to give it a little nudge with a flathead or pick to seat the pedals, but it’s not a big deal.

Fits RaceFace Aeffect Perfectly!
These boots fit perfectly over my RaceFace Aeffect crank arms. So far, they have not had to protect anything, but I now have peace of mind while riding, knowing that my brand new bike is going to have one less area with dings! Check the fitment on RaceFace.com, as they offer two sizes and I initially purchased the larger size, which was too big.

Good looking crank boots. Match my bike. They are a little small for my shimano acera crank arm. I had to trim a little bit. But they fit and look good now.

I bought these because I recently purchased an NX groupset. Although this groupset is not a top of the line or more expensive one, $400 is still a lot for me. So I wanted to protect my little investment.These work great. I saw a sharp rock that I always try to avoid but since I had these I actually wanted to test them and slightly tap the rock with my protected crankset. It worked like a charm and there was only a scuff mark on the boot. I haven’t intentionally hit rocks anymore but it is good to have them protected.I recently went on another ride and my tire scooped up some rocks and hit the crank arm and this is where I wished I had the sleeves too. Oh well, the boots did the trick but if you want added protection, get the sleeves for the crank arm too.
