Versatile and Cheap = Great Value
Easy to install, and very versatile due to the adapter which allows carrying regular water bottles in the aero position in addition to the use of aerodrink style bottles from profile design.Aero bottle fit (horizontal) could perhaps be accomplished with lighter and better designs perhaps but it would be hard to beat a $16 deal that will more less work on most bikes.Giving it a 5 for the value. It’s currently installed on my Tri-bike. Some people may complain that it takes up space on the handlebar and limit ability to install a computer on it. When you’re in the aero position, it’s not easy to check the computer mounted on the handlebar or the stem anyway, in my humble opinion. I installed my computer on the aerobar and it’s certainly easier to work with. Other bottle cage systems (e.g XLAB) will sell you an adapter to install on their bottle cages, but that puts the computer in a vulnerable position in my opinion let alone the fact that it’s more components to pay for, carry and tinker with.

Profile design Basebar Bracket
I gave Profile Design Basebar Bracket 5 stars because it was the only leading competitor that offered this style configuration. I like Torhans as well with their Areo Tray for my computer but they dont offer a basebar bracket at the time I’ve written this review “I wish they did”. Kudo’s for Profile Design being a innovator because road bikes have evolved to more areo designs like TT bikes like my Cervelo S5 and I only use it for training, should I race I leave off the bottle. Simple but effective for me. It does take some time to set it up but its worth it.

fine adjustment is not immediate but nothing difficult to accomplish.
Not so simple to install and adjust correctly, however, after the adjustment, works perfectly keeping the bottle perfectly positioned and fixed.

Good product
This is a good bracket to hold the profile design waterbottle. Only complaint is the little velcro strap broke after a few uses, but I can still use the thick rubber bands to hold it in place.

Solid mount
I replaced a “between the TT bars” mount (also from PD) that broke in a crash. This one has a much tighter fit than the other one – the one thing I don’t like is that you can’t thread the velcro strap through the holes with the bottle in place. This makes it rather cumbersome process to install and remove the bottle quickly in an already cramped TT cockpit. Otherwise, it holds the bottle tightly and it doesn’t rattle. I gave it 4 stars because of the strap issue but that might not be as much of a gripe for folks using a different TT bar setup.

MUY UTIL, CÓMODO Y SENCILLO.
ME PARECE UN SISTEMA DE HIDRATACIÓN MUY CÓMODO Y DE FÁCIL UTILIZACIÓN. NO ES CARO Y ES MUY FÁCIL DE COLOCAR. SENCILLAMENTE PERFECTO, LO QUE NECESITABA, PORQUE NO LLEVO ACOPLES, Y ESTE SISTEMA ME PERMITE LLEVAR EL BOTE LIBREMENTE.

Schraube schlecht verarbeitet

I am going to buy one more (because I really like the ease of the system) and we are going …
This system works perfectly. Holds the bottle with no problems. But… I’ve had to replace mine twice in 3 months because the plastic keeps breaking. If you go over any amount of bumps or rough roads don’t expect this to hold up. I am going to buy one more (because I really like the ease of the system) and we are going to wrap the bracket with fiberglass to give it more strength. Hopefully it holds up!

Top Flaschenhalter

Plastic is Too Brittle
Not functional as a torpedo mount. The unit allows you to use a special aerodrink bottle (which I never tried) and it also comes with an additional oval-shaped piece that allows you to mount any bottle cage in a “torpedo” position between the aerobars. The oval piece snaps into the top of the mount (see manufacturer photo). My oval piece has broken three times now. The first two times it was under warranty and I had the company ship me a new one, but now that it has broken a third time, I’m moving on. Each of the times it broke, I was just riding along, not even touching the mount or trying to use my water bottle, the piece just snapped. It’s a shame because when the piece wasn’t broken I thought it worked well. I think in order for this to be effective, it needs to have a layer of metal to reinforce the oval piece and provide more torsional strength.

I also found the other cage too inaccessible to remove the bottle easily while cycling
I bought a Profile Design Aerodrink Basebar Bracket to fit a Profile Design Aero HC Drink System to my road bike handle bars for use in Ironman events. I had experienced, in the build up sportives and triathlons that I had undertaken, that I needed to slow down to remove my usual drinks bottle from one of the cages. I also found the other cage too inaccessible to remove the bottle easily while cycling. I therefore saw this system as ideal to my drinking on the go easier and to ensure that I drank enough fluids. By the time I decided to buy this product, I was only a couple of weeks out from my first Ironman. I did the cardinal sin of only trying this product on short rides to see if it was fitted correctly and to make adjustments. I found that the straw was actually uncomfortably short for the riding position if you didn’t have aerobars. I replaced with a straw from another drinks bottle I owned and added a bite valve. On the day of day of ironman Weymouth, I exited the swim, transitioned smoothly and set off on my bike. I hadn’t gone 5 miles when I hit a small bump in the road and the bottle came flying off. I stopped to collect the bottle because I didn’t want to be disqualified for littering but I was sorely tempted not too. Due to the straw lying in the road I couldn’t drink from the bottle and meant I was now down to one bottle of my preferred sports drink for the remainder of the 112 miles.I believe there is a fundamental design flaw of the Profile Design Aerodrink Basebar Bracket. The clip that connects the plate that the bottle mounting is screwed into is not strong enough to withstand the forces that the bottle undergoes when it is full. Hence any bumps in the road cause the clip to fail and the bottle to come flying off. When I used the bottle again 7 days later for ironman Wales I resorted to using cable ties plus super glue to keep the clip-on-plate in place. Even still there was a lot of vibration and an annoying rattle. I believe the bracket and bottle mounting needs to be significantly redesigned.

Es muy util
Me gusto mucho, tiene dos opciones de colocación, lo cual es util en caso de preferir una u otra.

Doesn’t Last
I loved the over all design of this cage holder, but the plastic top attachment broke on it’s 3rd use. In the middle of a 70.3 race one side snapped off and then the other leaving my expensive cage on the roadside.
