Simple and effective tool
This is a simple, but clever design. Two sturdy plastic wedges with a grooved face for alignment and comfortable finger-holes. Simply push them in from opposite sides of the brake caliper to evenly press the piston back into the cylinders. Much better than using a screwdriver – or even the Park PP-1.2.The plastic construction avoids any danger of damage to the brakes or the frame. And the dual-wedge design assures even pressure across the faces of the pistons. There are fancier aluminum sliding wedge piston-press tools. But at 3x the price of this one, it is hard to justify the expense.

Work well IF you remove calipers from fork or frame. Won’t hurt ceramic pistons (Shimano XTR).
Love the simplicity of this tool and it works really well if you remove the brake caliper from the fork or frame. If you don’t, they may not fit well enough to fully push the pistons back into their bores. It’s just so much easier to use them if you un-bolt the calipers in the first place.These appear to be 3D printed, likely using a PLA filament. The quality of the print is good but not quite what you’d get with injection molding. The finish is smooth and slippery enough that they slide against each other with little friction so the force required to push them together to push the pistons into their bores is minimal. What’s really nice is that they push the pistons in squarely and safely – unlike tire levers or any tool where you are essentially prying against the caliper body. Some pistons (like those used on Shimano XTR brakes) are made of a ceramic material and can crack if not carefully pressed. Then you have to buy a whole new caliper because Shimano doesn’t sell spare pistons!The downside of PLA is that it’s not especially tough. You can’t treat these like a nylon or ABS tire lever, for example. If you use these to pry on the piston (or anything else), they will likely break fairly easily. The material is strong enough for the intended use though and should last a long time if handled with appropriate care.There is a small notch on one that mates with a bump on the other to help them stay aligned to each other. It does work and may be helpful in some calipers but I’m not sure it’s necessary. It might be easier to line up if the bump was more like a continuous spline. It may also be more helpful when working on 4-piston brakes. I only have 2-piston brakes, so that’s all I tested them on so far.Overall, these are a handy tool that’s a better choice than tire levers IMO. It’s also affordable. I’d like to try a version with a continuous spline and groove and maybe a set with neither. I suspect some combinations may work better for some brakes. For most 2-piston brakes, they should work just fine as is.

Does the job well. Simple product that helps when bleeding disc brakes. Better than a screwdriver. Helps reset the pistons.

Used this simple tool to replace the pads on a Lectric One. Very basic buy works very well and super easy to use.

Slid these into my calipers and, with a bit of effort, managed to get the piston back in the bore. These are 3D printed and will not take brute force. I distorted mine with the force needed but worked well enough to get 3 calipers prepped for new pads. I’ll be looking at other designs for long term reliability.
