First of all, I wanna say this is a great product and I’m very glad I bought it.However, additionally to the great performance and comfort that these handle bars provide, the main reason why I bought this product was to obtain a better driving position for my 2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS. Undoubtedly this handle bar offers me a great improvement, but if I had chosen a version even higher I had been more satisfied. So for people who are looking for a similar purpose I recommend you get the ProTaper CONTOUR RAPTOR (pn #02-7981, black) because that one is HIGHER than the one I bought.I cannot say that by using this handle bar you get less vibration, but it feels firmer than the factory handle bar whose wall is thinner.Another feature I like is that this handle bar is wider than the original so the arms position is also wider therefore handling and control are greater.The installation of the new handle bar is not precisely a big deal; however I would recommend leaving the job to an expert. There was no need for extension cables. The throttle cable was pulling a little (the bike accelerates itself at far turn –only left side–), but this is something easy to fix by repositioning the cables in a better way.NOTE: For those buying this product and have the same model of my bike keep in mind that this model do not need the bar mounts; the existing ones on your bike will fit perfectly. Get the bar mount kit only if you want the handle bar to be about 1 inch higher. For this model of handle bar I bought it was necessary to add a metal piece to make it fit because ProTaper bar mounts are designed for thicker handle bars.I definitely recommend this product as it is a great plus for the bike.

Protaper ATV HI bend bars well worth the money spent.
I first tried some Renthal motocross bars,way to small. Then I tried some CR Hi bend bars,still to small,the cross bar was like even with the gas cap.Then I found these ATV Hi bend from Protaper,and they fit great AND allowed me to use my bark busters which is what I was looking for to begin with.These bars look exceptional,no doubt they are much stronger than the stock carbon steel bars they replaced.fitment was spot onand they accepted my bark busters with no problems. They look much better than the stock bars,it gives your bike a more refined appearance. I would not hesitate to recommend these bars to anyone that has a KLR 650 or any large dualsport bike that needs a larger than usual bar set,and the fact that the barkbusters that fit the stock bars will swap right over to these bars was a good thing. I give this product a 10 out of 10 rating because of this. Well worth the money spent,since other aftermarket companies that are KLR specific had Aluminum bars for the KLR in the 80 to 90 dollar price range.

Great Bend for Triumph Scrambler
I got a pair of these to put on my Triumph Scrambler. The stock bars did not have enough pullback and had a weird bend. I looked at various brands and these bars had the best bend for my style of bike. Installation was a breeze and the look definitely fits the bike. Ride comfort is excellent and I think that handling has been enhanced. The only drawback was that the pad cannot be removed without cutting. Otherwise, a very worthwhile purchase and I highly recommend!

Ordered a pair of 7/8 atv high bend for my 2006 KLX250, put them on in conjunction with new Tusk Racing aluminum hand guards (also from here, excellent product). I was pleased with the fit and finish of the bars. Initially I thought that I would need some new cables for the KLX, but it turned out that with a little work on cable routing, these worked with all factory cables/lines. These bars are 2″ total wider than the factory bar, and several inches taller. I am 6’0″, and they transform the bike in terms of standing up off road. I may end up trimming an inch off of each side. They look good too. As a side note, the Tusk hand guards mounted perfectly to these bars, and cleared all controls nicely.

Perfect replacement for the Kawasaki KLR
Replaced 2006 KLR650 stock handlebars with these yesterday. The finish on these bars were simply excellent! They are just a bit wider and a tad higher than the Kawasaki stock bars. No issues installing them at all. Huge riding improvement for a guy my height- 6′ 3-1/2″ with 36in. inseam.The KLR’s choke housing has an alingment pin inside of it. Its probably for lateral mirror support. Instead of weakening the bars by drilling a hole for it I simply snipped the plastic pin off before remounting. I want that side of the bars (left) as strong as possible as I do tend to fall over in that direction when bogging through sand and the front tire washes out.I removed the vinyl ProTaper sleeve and foam pad by detaching one side of the crossbar from its bracket, rotating it up, and using the air compressor and air straw to quickly “lift” it off. It slid off quite easily. There was no adhesive on the crossbar and foam pad.Most reviews here have covered all applicable topics. Thanks to those who’ve written them. It made the purchase decision much easier.

On YFZ 450, gets a little tight on the right hand brake hose
left side is not knurled, so have to rough up to get grips from slipping, otherwise, very nice bars

Great handlebars. Put on an ‘09 KLR650
Put these handlebars on my ‘09 KLR650. Perfect handlebars. Standing on the bike is much much more comfortable with the new riding position these offer. Could not reccomend anything else that are great. Very sturdy feeling and fit exactly as they should

Atv high bars
The pictures speak for themselves. I mounted these on my ’08 raptor 250 and chose the ATV high bend over the raptor bend….and I couldn’t be happier. They’re very sturdy and thick, yet still have a bit of flexibility. The coating looks great, too. Comfort while standing is unmatched. No more sore backs!
