The Blaze® 800 SLX provides the perfect balance of brilliant lumen output and long run times. It has enough power to explore dark off road trails and a variety of modes that light your way no matter where your ride takes you. The newest version of our Blaze SLX headlight comes with Clean Beam lensing which creates a horizontal cut-off beam for courteous, anti-glare illumination that won’t blind oncoming cyclists and path users. The beam pattern delivers full-bodied illumination out in front of your bike and back toward your pedals while the lateral light portals make sure you’ll be noticed from the side. Great optics, abundant lumen output and Clean Beam technology make Planet Bike's Blaze® 800 SLX a great choice for cyclists. Included GoPro® and Garmin® mounts give you options on where you attach the light. Be safer and brighter on the path without blinding your fellow riders!

Ok for a bright bike light but not when you compare to other options
The only reason why I purchased this is for its brightness. While I don’t have a light meter to measure but it is noticeablely brighter than another cheap one I got from Amazon. Is it bright enough? I would say yes. But for the price, you can get a 1000 lumen flashlight duck taped to your bike (you can get the same holder as this one from Planet Bike as well) for both better result and cheaper price.

Bright, solid construction, solid mount, great side visibility, unusable daylight flash function
This is a bright, well made light for a decent price and with a solid mount. The side visibility is fantastic. Unfortunately, the “super flash” mode intended for daylight visibility is not fit for purpose–it flashes so brightly and violently as to create an undue distraction and annoyance, and possibly a genuinely dangerous situation. The “courtesy flash” mode is really too regular to be ideal for getting attention, but is the only safe flashing option. For a primarily night-time light this is a great choice.

WAY brighter
I found this light to be way brighter than the “high lumen” light that came stock on my ebike. I actually bought several different lights and compared them before I decided on this one. I liked the light output of this over the others as well as the fact that its rechargeable and it has a mount that is easy to install and stays secure. Its not too heavy and is pretty compact in size. Nice addition to my ride.

Very Powerful Light
This light will thoroughly light up the darkest of roads. Powerful is the best way to describe it. It has different functions like quick flashing, etc. but the only thing I care about is it makes it very easy to see ahead of you on a dark road or path. Plus other folks have no problem seeing you too.

Almost great
What’s good: Very bright, reasonable charge times (mine has the older USB micro, not USB C, but that’s not a deal-breaker), adjustable brightness, and compact size. What’s not: Handle bars on my bike have smaller diameter than this is designed for – it just flops around. I got a reasonable fit by padding the inside of the mounting bracket with insulating foam, but that compresses and loses its grip after a while. What’s worse: The real problem is that it’s water-tightness isn’t all that great. After a while in the rain, it just turned on by itself, flashing brightly. I turned it off, but it kept coming back on in various ways, and sometimes off again. I’m drying it out now, hoping that it will still be functional. I don’t think it cares one way or another about my hopes, though. (It dried out pretty quickly, but it’s hard to be enthusiastic about an easy solution to a problem I should never have had.)– wiredweird

This Bike Light has side yellow and strobe light not that bright so good for biking.
I bought this years ago but still working. The Strobe light is not that bright so not to bother others. Good light. Moderate battery.

Durable, battery life as advertised, cool pulsing mode
Bought this light in March of 2022, it’s still running strong 4 years later, and I am happy with the purchase. I ride mostly on paved suburban trails and in bike lanes alongside not-too-busy roads, 11-13 mph. The beam pattern for my night riding seems just about right, and the battery run times appear to be as advertised. The 3.7 hour, 400 lumen setting works well for a 25-mile evening ride where there is ambient street lighting. The 800 lumen setting is plenty bright if conditions require that, but the runtime is shorter. The Planet Bike light mount is solid and compact–have several of those in the family and have never had an issue, even mounting them upside down. Aiming the light properly will keep you from blinding oncoming cyclists or pedestrians while throwing a lot of light where you want it to be. The bright flashing mode will be seen in daylight conditions, and the pulsing mode is just sorta cool especially in the early evening.

Works amazingly!
A friend of mine was complaining about the headlight on his e-bike and I said “I have a really great one. Let me find it on Amazon” then I shared it with him. I’ve had this for 3 years and realized I never left a review. This light is expensive but it is fantastic. Super bright and lasts a long time on a single charge. Couldn’t tell you exactly how long because it’s never gone dead on me. Ez on and off the handle bars for charging. This thing is so bright, when not using it on my e-bike, I keep it in my car in case I need a really bright flashlight. Great purchase. Supper happy with it.
