Does not replace a rear-view mirror
I am surprised how good this camera (and display) is considering the price, but as good as it may be, it is not good enough to watch for cars coming up behind you. For this I rely on a rear-view mirror and Garmin radar to alert me of traffic coming from behind. The problem is the panoramic lens that makes objects look further away than they really are in addition to a display that is a bit too cloudy to distinguish a car until it is on top of you. Nevertheless, the display shows a lot more real estate than the mirror and the radar, of course, shows nothing at all. Also, the recording has a much better image quality than the display and can be quite interesting to watch after a ride. I am looking forward to recording a ride with my mates. And as a side note, a second camera facing forward might help in not having to strain my neck to look up all the time to watch the road up ahead. A glance once in a while might suffice.6/24/2025 update, there is a little plastic lens protector used for shipping, and when I peeled it off, the display picture became noticeably clearer. Nevertheless, I still don’t see a car clearly when it’s approaching far away (~ 500 to 600 feet) until it’s about 200 feet away. By then, I can hear the car coming and watch it overtake me in the display. Keep in mind, I’m going about 15mph and the car is going 35mph (or more) so a car passing takes place quickly, just a few seconds. Again, since I have a Garmin radar detector, the Edge display on my handlebars beeps loudly to alert me when the car is oncoming, about 600 feet behind me, and the Edge display shows a graphic representation as the car approaches and passes by. So in conclusion, the best setup remains to have a rearview mirror, a Garmin setup, and the ParkVision camera.

Good Rear Camera and Display for Biking
Very nice rear bicycle camera. The display is very clear and easy to see while I am riding whether the weather is sunny or cloudy. The recording feature is a nice addition. Also like the long battery life so that I can use on long rides. I feel much safer on my bike now that I can see the cars passing without having to look behind me. The seller was very responsive to my questions. Great customer service!

Great Alternative to Go-Pro
Purchased this for my 80 year old father who loves to bike ride. The features of this unit were perfect for him. He originally received a different unit other than what we ordered. I contacted the company and they rectified the issue immediately, 5 star customer service. After receiving the correct camera, my dad loves this unit. He uses this as a front camera, recording his rides to later come home and re-watch. At 80 years old we decided he didn’t need a $300 Go-Pro. This unit is functional for any age! Set up and installation was super easy. You can record in 5 minute intervals, so the SD card comes in handy. Overall he loves his new toy.

I was pretty happy about buying a rear camera for my e-bike. Everything I had read about these cameras was positive, but I’m not very happy with my selection/choice.Power/Battery: The monitor takes as long to charge as it does to run out of power. I charged the monitor during the day, then went for a ride 36-48hrs later, and the monitor lasted about four blocks before the screen started distorting and it turned off. So the monitor battery loses power while it is off. Also, the power button has taken up to 5 tries before the monitor has actually turned on, and it turns itself off after the selected time periods of up to 5 minutes; which means that every 5 minutes the monitor needs to be turned back on while I’m riding.User Interface: The user has no control in real time; I cannot start and stop recording at will, nor can I playback any footage while on the road if I needed to, because there is not an internal hard drive and the camera does not interact with the memory card. To playback any recorded footage, I have to take the micro card out of the camera and use an adapter to view any footage on a separate device. When I last reviewed the recordings, I noticed footage from days that I had not used the system, though I kept the monitor charged; which tells me that the camera turns on, and records, even when the monitor does not.I am pretty disappointed with this product, but it works well enough for short commutes as long as there is a place to recharge the monitor, and the time needed to do so.

Honestly wish I would’ve ordered this sooner. In my opinion it should be recording from the time you want it to start and stop. But it recognizes when your riding and it will start recording

Great rear view bike camera recorder
This is a easily visible in the sun rearview camera system. I love it that it is recording. It is very easy to install. It is easy to put on the back of a bike rack using a small piece of flexible tubing as an extra post. The Battery seems to last a very long time probably all day. The wide angle amount seems to be perfect for most streets.
