Quite easily the worst design Park Tool has ever released. I’m a big fan in general of Park Tool and I own and use hundreds (perhaps thousands) of dollars of Park Tool stuff. I was also a devoted user of the PRS-20 for over a decade. I decided to “upgrade” to the PRS-22.2 in the forlorn hope that it would not only deal with through-axles but possibly improve stability (on the stand) with modern BB designs. About 30% of the redesign is successful, the new combination axle mount unit is promising and overall the stand is lighter that the previous design. The bad news is that you can totally forget about working on a whole bunch of current road bike designs because they just aren’t compatible with the new (and kooky) BB cradle/fork unit. Same goes for asymmetrical chain-stay gravel bike designs. Another really bad idea is the central tilting joint that the main extruded rail sits on – Park went to a camming quick release lever to lock its position, but it never really locks without some annoying wobble. This unit is not cheap, I’m trying to sell mine and find a used PRS-20. Zero response from Park Tool on my issues.

Pros: Carbon Fiber bike safe, lightweight, portable, the capability of turning the bike 360 degrees, well made quality.Cons: The biggest issue is working on my bike frames with asymmetrical bottom bracket and chainstays. I have a Quintana Roo PRFive for example with asymmetrical frame. These frames just do not sit well on the bottom bracket holders. Other issues: a lot of play in the horizontal mount and tilt bracket. in addition, every time you switch bikes, you need to adjust bottom bracket holder as well as adjust center of gravity which is annoying with only two hands. The stand almost fell over a few times when I got center of gravity incorrect. I have sandbags holding it down now.I also have a very heavy old Parks Pro stand. I would rather Parks create a jaw for my old Parks Pro stand for wide aero seat tubes. I do like the portability of this Team Issue stand. However, I think it needs more refining though.

Great product but you can’t make front brake adjustments since the fork is what’s locked into the stand. I have a Bontrager stand for that work. Other than that, for me, its a great second work stand.

Very nice stand. If you have just one bike it would be better. Takes a little fiddling to go from different size or type of bicycle. Much better than a clamp type stand. Little unstable but its not an expensive weighted shop stand. Love the height adjustment and ability to spin the bike around.

Poorly designed.
I’m fairly new to biking and it appears to me that Park Tool is resting on their laurels. I know they are supposed to be a great company and the pricing of their tools reflects that reputation. But, this stand is a mess. Awkward to use, and the rail is not stable even when fully locked down.

Ich habe mir diesen Montageständer speziell für mein Gravelbike mit Carbonrahmen gekauft, dafür und auch für alle anderen Räder ist er ideal. Nichts wird geklemmt, da das Rad auf dem Kurbelgehäuse nur aufliegt. Die Halterung ist um 360 Grad drehbar, was das Arbeit sehr erleichtert. Außerdem lässt er sich sehr platzsparend zusammenpacken. Sicher, der Halter ist nicht billig, aber er hält wohl ewig.

Do NOT buy this stand! Horrible design.
I have years of experience working on bikes, and this stand is the worst! The three legs were almost impossible to open and close, the platform vibrates, and the bottom bracket base doesn’t secure the bike well at all. It just sits on top of the support bars and has no stability at all. (Who designed the bottom bracket support bars anyway?? Horrible!) Even with the forks locked down, the back of the bike could rotate and fall off of the support bar. Do not waste your money on this overpriced hunk of junk.

Best workstand around
Well-built, stable stand that holds the bike well without any risk of damage to carbon frames. Excellent adjustability. Folds up well to save space when not in use.
