Top / bottom mount, light cutoff, and replaceable battery
I like bicycle lights with a visible cutoff (as required by StVZO) so that I don’t blind other people when I’m cycling at night. This light has 3 features that are quite hard to find, especially at such a low price point:1. Sharp light cutoff (by reflector design – the best way for doing it)2. Replaceable battery – 18650 cell3. Top or bottom mountSome other things I like about the light:1. GoPro mount adapter included2. Small windows on the side so that it is visible to cross trafficThere’s an instruction manual (well, actually just a sheet) that covers everything – including the fact that you need to remove an insulating sheet that prevents the battery from discharging before use. It also tells you how to turn on the flashing mode – long press for 3 seconds from any mode. For example, if the light is already on, you long press for 3 seconds. It will turn off after 0.5 seconds, then go into flashing mode after 3 seconds.Light is more white (bluish) compared to some. I don’t have something to measure with, but it’s closer to daylight than soft white (comparing with light bulbs).Strangely, when you google for this light, you’ll find a completely different one from about 2 years ago. I’m not sure what’s going on here.There are some disadvantages, not unexpected at this price point:1. It doesn’t illuminate the top – some lights with cutoff like the Magicshine EVO have a “flood” mode that will also illuminate above the eye level, useful when not cycling on road with people around2. The front part with the lens is metal (probably aluminum or some alloy), but the back is plastic. The light gets pretty hot at the brightest setting, and there’s less metal surface to dissipate the heat.3. It’s fairly long, but that’s due to the size of a 18650 battery.4. Recharging is fairly slow. 5V at 0.5A. Will take about 4 hours to fully recharge by USB. But you can always remove and charge the battery separately. And best part – you can carry a spare 18650 and swap it out.Overall, I think it’s a great light for street riding, with features that I have not been able to find elsewhere. The Lumintop B01 comes close, but I don’t quite care for the mounting.

very nice light, clever mounting system, wide beam more suited for near/mid distance
This is a nice bike light with a lot of clever design elements that I appreciate:- removable/replaceable 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery- garmin-compatible quarter-turn mount that is flippable to fit under or over an outfrount mount- nicely shaped beam that gives you a wide view in front of the bike with a horizontal cutoff to avoid blinding oncomers and wasting light outputI’ve mainly used it in daylight flash mode and it’s lasted 9 hours while remaining green on the battery indicator (i.e. > 20% power left).One issue I have with the light is that the light output in steady mode is perhaps too focused on the near to mid field, at the cost of throwing light further ahead. I have other lights that focus most of their output at the top of the beam in a trapezoid so that when thrown ahead, the light is fairly even from mid-distance to further up the road. That leaves a darker hole in the near field, but you don’t want to be looking at the near field when riding at night. You want to see further up ahead, see a pothole or debris and avoid it before it gets to your near field vision. If I were riding at night more, I’d want to combine this light with one with a farther throw and get a well lighted field. I’d probably do that even if this light had a perfect beam shape, belt and suspenders in case one fails or runs out of juice unexpectedly.So I knock off half a star for the not quite perfect light pattern, round up to five stars.Miscellaneous: I kind wish the mount on the light body were a female Garmin mount rather than the male half to fit my out front mount underneath without resorting to the GoPro adapter option.In steady high output, the light gets quite warm, at least while I’m standing still and testing the light. Air flow while riding should keep it cooler.

Strap broke after a month
I just wanted a decent bike light that could be charged through USB-C with blinking light option for daytime and a “winking” mode for night time. This one seemed to fit the bill. Packaging and overall build looked good, so I was pretty happy with my purchase at first. Unfortunately, the plastic mount holding the strap is too weak on one side (the opposite other side with the hook is fine and pretty thick). It just broke after a month of riding on the road. (Garmin mount adaptor may last longer, but that’s not what I’ve got.) I rigged using rubber bands to keep it attached as a short term solution, but I need to buy another one soon. What a waste!The green light that’s supposed to start blinking when the battery starts running low is hard to notice during daytime. I only notice it when the red light starts blinking, but by that point there isn’t enough battery to finish a ride. Neither warning lights would be visible if you mount it upside down. My old bike light used the main light to indicate low battery status. I could live with that deficiency if the strap did not break, but it was still an annoyance.

Good not Great – but a Very Good Deal at this Price Point
This 4 Star Review is due to the price point of this light. At under twenty bucks, at this lumen level and battery capacity, it’s worth 4 stars. In addition, the light comes with a rubber strap and Garmin adapter. I have a Garmin Edge bike computer mounted to a K-Edge XL out front mount, with a Go Pro to Garmin (female) adapter. So, I’m able to keep my road bike’s cockpit pretty clean. I mostly use this bike light as a spare. It does seem to be every bit of the claimed 720 lumens on the high setting, and it’s relatively light for its size and output (partially due to its cheaper plastic build). One thing I really DO like about it, are the side marker lights. I have a couple higher end Niterider lights, and love the lights, but wish they had side markers… this one has the side markers which are helpful as you ride across traffic (for ex, as you cross a road that connects a trail you are riding on). All in all, it is good, not great, but for the price, it’s a solid value and great backup light to have on you if you forget to charge, or don’t get a chance to charge, your main bike light.

The light became intermittent during my ride possibly due to vibrations. This is a safety hazard for the rider in the night and I had to stop using it.

WORKS! Read instructions! Uses replaceable 18650 battery
If you didn’t read the instructions, you’ll wonder why it charges up just fine, but won’t turn on. There’s a little plastic film inside to prevent initial use. The manufacturer may want to rethink that, as it’s already impossible for it to turn on by itself in the box… And many will claim it doesn’t work and then return it.This is the first of the rechargeable bike light I’ve seen that had a removable 18650 battery. I MUCH prefer this to standard sealed rechageable bike lights. I have a stockpile of good/expensive 18650 batteries already, and that means I won’t have to throw this light away when the original battery fails.Another benefit to this design is you can carry spare batteries with you, and swap cells without needing to recharge! Great for traveling, where you may not have an opportunity to recharge frequently.Usb-c charging works fine, but you may have some issues connecting the cable with the mount attached. The light comes with two Garmin style mounts…perfect. I see myself using this light for years to come. This may actually be the best overall bike light I’ve ever tried, despite it being a bit underpowered at 700 lumens.

great little light
I love this light. It has a safety feature which is pretty rare in lights. The side orange markers mean if a car is coming sideways at you they will see the light. hopefully along with other reflective surfaces, but a piece emiting its own light is also clutch.This Uses a standard Garmin type mount in case you want to use it with an existing mount and not the silicone strap it comes with.It uses standard 18650 batteries too, so its pretty easy to just swap in a new cell if it dies, That is a downside to most lights as they have non user replaceable batteries.The materials seem good quality and I have already dropped it a few times and other than a couple scuffs it still works great. I am really surprised how nice this is for the price.As far as light throw this is not the brightest light, I would call this sufficient for riding up to around 20 mph at night. So for a road bike or for ebikes it might be insufficient, but for slower speed ebikes or most commuters this seems like a great option.
